Thought experiment
What would happen if youth had a full on revolution? Like broke free from adult control started their own economy and everything?

Re: Thought experiment
I think there are two reasons why youth don't care about Youth Rights.
1: Young people can be free of ageism without almost any effort, they literally just have to wait until they are 18 (or 21 if you are on the USA) and move on, they have no reasons to fight in the long term.
2: Most youth have internalized that age restrictions are normal and if it bothers them they will have better results by trying to avoid getting caught rather than fight against the whole system.

That'd be like competing with the parallel adult economy.Theendoftheline wrote: Sun Aug 23, 2026 4:27 am What would happen if youth had a full on revolution? Like broke free from adult control started their own economy and everything?
It's difficult even for adults to compete with other adults who are at a level higher than them.
A full on youth revolution can only be possible if all the young people unite and organize themselves for a greater cause which would eventually benefit and give agency not just to teens but also preteens who are minors.
The millennials feel cheated. Most of them cannot achieve the dream which was sold to them.
GenZ don't care.
With Gen alpha and Gen beta still growing up in a world that's falling apart and with all the new restrictions in place for kids I won't be surprised if ever there was a full on youth revolution in the near future.

Well, the spirit of it, I would've loved when I was a child myself.
