Because activism is frustrating from what I’ve heard. Because it exposes you to scrutiny. Activism is hard partly because we hardly know any other MAPs IRL. So there’s little “base” and hence, little motivation to join.

Or at least that’s the message we hear for non-MAP LGBT people. For LGBT MAPS, we receive a double dose of stigma, first for being queer, next for being a MAP. To add injury to insult, this rejection for being minor-attracted comes not from just mainstream society ...
