Re: Is this forum declining in activity?

Yes.

The activity comes in fits and starts because the forum has low levels of activity. With a forum such as Virped, it is harder to recognise patterns like this, but here, and especially on BoyChat, where everything is focused on one board, you will notice differences in activity.

We are in the ...

Re: The German Green Party - a forgotten chapter in MAP history?

German Wikipedia has a huge article on the controversy. Not sure if the translation has been attempted yet.

Re: Is the Map Union Forum operated by LEA?

The far more likely outcome is that some clearweb and darkweb MAP sites are funded, or underpinned by the three letter agencies, but operated by MAPs who believe they are in receipt of charity. There are a number of reasons intelligence agencies might want some control or oversight, even with the ...

Re: Changes to MAP Forum (next 4-8 weeks)

The only public area that will go private will be peer support. But then, the whole site design and rules will be discussed by committee members, so may be subject to gradual change, as we work out how to provide an alternative to Virped. This includes any present moderators who wish to be part of ...

Re: Primary reason why I dislike anti Cs

On Tumblr it is certainly going to be performative, because Tumblr censors.

Changes to MAP Forum (next 4-8 weeks)

Over the next 4-8 weeks, you might notice a few changes to MAP Forum, its design and appearance. Chief among these, will be a more visible distinction between the publicly accessible and private parts of our forum. This is with the aim of becoming a more credible alternative to Virped, with more ...

Re: do you know any MAPs irl?

Short of a reporter who has been sent with a hidden camera, there are zero risks to meeting IRL, other than idiocy. And it's been done enough times without incident.

One assumption is that you can let your guard down, as by agreeing to meet, you have put yourself among a group of "criminals", and ...

Re: Staring Into the Abyss (AI)

What I want to see from AIs is spontaneous article writing, and deep research into multiple resources to produce compendiums and archives, etc. I want to tell an AI to rip every single example of MAP activism out of Newspapers.com and upload it with OCR to NewgonWiki, i.e. standard archiving ...

Re: Staring Into the Abyss (AI)

What the current AIs seem to be good at is explaining things in the general, like self-help language. I think this is because they have been deliberately designed to be more "human like".

What I want to see from AIs is spontaneous article writing, and deep research into multiple resources to ...
