Chimera's intro

Post by chimera »

Hi everyone! My name is Chimera, I am a 17 year old girl and have been in the MAP / AAM community for about five years now! I've always felt attraction to people far passed my age, and I'm glad there's spaces like this for likeminded folk!

I've been searching for a forum like this for a fair bit of time now, as I seek a place free from the judgement and isolation that most other spaces place on people like us. From what I've seen so far from creeping around, I like it! I'm excited to get to know people and enjoy a space where I don't have to hide my feelings and act like they're just intrusive thoughts.

A few fun facts about me; I enjoy hunting, fishing, art, writing, and sleeping in. (So excited for summer break! zzz..)

See you around!

Hello!👋 Always good to have more people here. Have you faced any negative experiences for being an AAM?

Hi chimera hope you like it.
May I ask how did you as minor came across the map/aam community five years ago,and what were your impressions when you first came across it?
Do you have a specific type of adult you’re attracted to and how much older have you been attracted?
Your in the age range I’m attracted to.
Your hobbies you enjoy I know I would’ve enjoyed.
What do you write,do you journal.
And what have you drawn do you have a favorite drawing.
Have you ever held a rifle before since you like hunting that sounds like fun to me 8-)
What do you hunt ?
Yeah the judgement and isolation can get to you at times just got to keep your chin up and look for the good in things.
Totally get the hiding feelings and intrusive thoughts sometimes I get that to and I’m like do I find that person attractive lol.
Thing is I know when I’m attracted to someone it a different feeling and I sense of enjoyment when I see something I like.
I like sleeping in too enjoy summer holidays.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply, my last exam got me tired lol. I have had my fair share of negative experiences! As we all know, society isn't as accepting as this forum is. It's led me to being much more hush-hush about being an AAM, as the harassment from both grown adults and other minors really impacted me mentally.

Thankfully, places like this exist, and now, I can avoid the typical harassment!

Ooh, a bunch of questions! I love these, lets start!

Firstly, I have always felt attracted to adults since I can remember. I'm not sure why, but I always found people my age to be.. lacklustre? I never really felt much genuine attraction to other teenagers, or even other children when I was younger. I first heard the term "MAP" on Twitter, and as many of you know, it was heavily demonized. I originally thought "Ew, this is disgusting." because that was what others my age thought. However, if there's one thing I'm good at doing, it's going down rabbit holes! So, I dig into research about the community, and I find that the definition I was told of it was heavily biased against MAPs. I found myself thinking positively of the community, my view shifted. A short while after, I learned about the term "AAM" and it was basically a lightbulb moment for me because it was my feelings of attraction to adults put into a term that I could grasp! Ever since then, I've been a recognized AAM and a very strong MAP supporter.

For a specific type of adult I'm attracted to? Really, anyone who can listen and make me feel seen, not small. For age? I'm incredibly flexible in my attraction. The oldest I've ever been taken with was 66! So, really, anywhere from 21-66 is ideal to my brain.

I write mostly short stories and do some journaling, yes, but I'm starting my Summer passion project of writing an actual novel. I'm still working out the kinks, can't wait to get to writing though!

I draw landscapes, people, and animals. I enjoy immortalizing life on paper, so that even long after the image has left my mind, I'll still have a piece of it to look at. My favourite medium of art is oil pastels at the moment! I love how smooth they are and how they smell.

Onto the hunting part (I was so excited to answer this!!), I haven't held a rifle before! I have a crossbow, a tenpoint nitro 505, that I love. Rifles never really were my thing, and I enjoy using arrows because they get much easier to see once the sun dies. I hunt big game! I started on smaller stuff when I was younger, shot my first rabbit when I was 6, but now I'm much on the thrill seeking side of the game. Earlier this year, I went a bit more up North for bear hunting. Got a nice black bear and I was happy! Sold the pelt and skull after I processed them, the meat was divided up by my family and we got barely any left now, and the fat was used in my baking as substitutes for vegetable oil. I aim to waste as little as possible to honor the animal who's life I took.

Thank you for your kind words and warm welcome, Kylelomaz! It was very much appreciated and I'm excited to see you around!

Welcome to the forum...I hope you enjoy your stay and find friendship. You're very well-spoken for your age, which I appreciate cause I feel most youth your age and younger are not the most intelligent(putting it nicely and I blame the current education system for that). How does it make you feel when your friends talk about pedophilia or MAP's in general?

Hunting and fishing? You're a bit of a country girl ain't you?

Hello, and thank you so much! I try to be well-spoken. It's a rare thing to see a teenage girl that isn't speaking fully in abbreviations or slang, at least where I'm from.

But, to answer your question, I find myself steered away from people who talk about MAP's negatively. I used to do the whole smile and nod schtick whenever one of my peers would go off on a rant about them, but in my last few years, I've been extremely focused on academics and a lot less with socializing. Hearing people my age rant about MAP's with so much anger and obvious bias just drains me. They don't care to see the other side of the narrative, and in the times I tried to explain it to a few, that never went well! Really, you'd be surprised with how much a teenager can constantly interrupt you when you say something they don't want to hear.. coming from a teenager.

And yes, I am a bit of a country girl! Born and raised on a farm for the first 13 years of my life.
