The Government has been accused of making “almost no progress” on plans to investigate grooming gangs.

Jess Phillips, a Home Office minister, told MPs the appointment process was in its “final stages” and that a panel of survivors and victims would be part of the final approval. Sir Keir Starmer committed to a fresh national inquiry in June.
