Peace and love

Post by Peace »

Hello, hello! My name is Peace. Most of this is copied verbatim from my intro on MRF, but hey, no need to reinvent the wheel. I'm an asexual trans guy who's into boys ages 6-18 - a triple threat of pedo, hebe, and ephebe. I've been in the community for about 7 or so years, mostly keeping to the B4U-ACT forums and pedo blogs. I'm shy and more than a little socially anxious, but I decided that I need to put myself out there if I'm going to make any change and meet like-minded folks.

I'm a regular on the B4U-ACT forum, and was the editor and one of the hosts of the short-lived MAPs IRL podcast. I also did two themed issues of a zine called Kids Club that compiled primary sources about our attraction. I've done writing on a number of different pedo topics, but they've been confined to forums and blog comments, so I'm hoping to contribute to more spaces.

As can be clued in from the zines I put together, I'm a voracious collector of anything related to our attraction and community. I adore scouring databases, libraries, and websites of all stripes, looking for pieces on pedophilia and related phenomenon. I've managed to collect a good chunk of material, from magazine clippings to vertical files to academic papers to audio recordings.

I also love conducting research, creating lists and organizing information, and finding references and resources. There's something special about falling down a rabbit hole and finding out as much as you can about a topic, especially when you start finding links between different subjects.

About me more generally: leftist, autistic, love volunteering, into video games, a metalhead and punk, collector of old paperbacks, huge fan of retro horror movies... I think those are the basics.

I look forward to both talking with people I already know and getting to know people who are new to me!

Does asexual but attracted in this case mean that your attraction is solely romantic? I'm just a little curious as to how it works for you.

One of the things I like about the MAP community is that even though we try to find root causes either psychologically or evolutionarily that we still have so much diversity that people come along to through our theories off kilter.

My attraction was always inherently very sexual, so I'm just curious as to how your asexuality works for you.

Something along those lines; I still haven't found an exact way to describe my attraction. Since sexual attraction is usually defined as attraction on the basis of sexual desire (i.e. wanting to be sexual with someone), and I have no interest even in fantasy of being sexual with a boy, I don't feel I can really call my attraction towards boys sexual. I've taken to calling it a romantic and aesthetic attraction. I'll say that I have a "pull" towards boys, or that I enjoy boys. I enjoy looking at their bodies, I enjoy thinking and reading about them being intimate with men, I enjoy being around them. The term "aegosexual" comes close to how I experience my attraction.

And I agree, the MAP experience is much richer and more varied than most teliophiles think. Any attempts to reduce our experiences down to "urges to touch" does the world a disservice.

Hi, Peace, welcome to MAP Forum.

I'd be very open to making your collection more visible through Yesmap's cloud storage facility (where a probably not very outdated copy, 2y old, is already archived as zip files).

Where I really think it could gain more exposure, though, is the Newgon "Chronological Archive" project, which could point to individual files for particular years, once we have unzipped the files.

While I am not personally able to index all the files, I would be happy to leave this as a task for my editors, or allow you to insert links.

Yes, I think some of the pieces I've found have made their way to the Chronological Archive. Who should I get in contact with if I was interested in contributing more?

strategist at yesmap dot net is me

I'd be happy just to provide you an account on NW and Yesmap Cloud, and you can trickle stuff in. Best use a copy on Yesmap, so you are not beholden to some file sharing site. I'll make sure it's formatted properly.

Welcome, I'm new here too, but not on other forums. I can tell you that my desires are both romantic and sexual. Although the latter is only in my thoughts through fantasies, and also readings within my AoA. I hope we can have enriching and healthy discussions about the romantic and sexual loves that surround us.

Peace! It's lovely to see you're still around and kickin. (At my advanced age, I do'n't make it out of VoA much).

Hope all is well with you.
