A woman who set up a Facebook group ‘outing’ convicted sex offenders in Guernsey received a string of “abuse and threats”, many from fake accounts.

Predators in Guernsey was set up in November by Zadie – not her real name – to “spread awareness, as Guernsey doesn’t have a sex offenders register”.

Zadie told Express she had received threats to “smash my face in” and petrol bomb her house, while she was home with her partner and children.

She announced on Tuesday she was planning to close the group – which has more than 4,000 members – because “out of control” abuse was “taking a toll” on her mental health.

However, Zadie reversed the decision later in the day, adding: “I didn’t realise how much people really did care about this page.”

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (NewsNation) — A South Dakota man accused of killing a neighbor whom he had allegedly been told sexually abused a child was found not guilty of murder Friday.

Dylan Farmer was charged with first and second-degree murder in the 2024 fatal shooting of Casey Shaffer in Sioux Falls.

After his arrest in 2024, Farmer told police he was contacted by a woman to remove Shaffer from her home after she accused Shaffer of sexually assaulting her son.

The article seems to be pointing to another suspect as the mastermind behind the crime, but at the same time I'm mortified by how this man, who appears to be a clear accomplice and requested or hired killer has been fully let off the hook

Another example of the The Push?

I'm not sure if I'd call it a "push" because it doesn't really lead to a different kind of action. It is an example of how stigma can lead to thoughts and feelings that wouldn't otherwise exist, though.

I guess the closest is incels or perhaps even other nerdy virgins that don't consider themselves incels who look at Elliot Rodgers with sympathy.

It's rare that we look at other offenders and instinctively think "maybe it wasn't as bad as the news is reporting". I guess some MRAs look at rape allegations from women in that light.

With myself, I had to learn how to be traumatized. it started when I moved in with my so-called mother and she demanded that I follow social expectations (I am on the spectrum so I had and still do have some odd social behavior). I literally was subject to all kinds of harassment every single day in school and overcame it naturally within a day or so. Once my parents got divorced and i was forced to move in with my NPD parent, my so-called mother would go on and on about her own victim mentality regarding her own "trauma" and learning what trauma is and how it works is when i began to suffer from CPTSD and PTSD.
