Contact with infants
Contact with infants
My view on contact with infants who would have no concept of consent is a difficult issue. Personally, I wouldn't necessarily approve of contact is these particular cases but I don't necessarily see anything wrong with not telling them about the contract when they are older either.
I support AAMs and MAPs. Personally I am a romantic GL but I support loving relationships between people from infants all the way up to the elderly.
Re: Contact with infants
Even nonhuman animals can show consent and a lack of consent so speech isn't necessarily an absolute form of communication. Yes doesn't always mean yes and no doesn't always mean no. Body language and vocal contour are crucial indicators of one's true feelings. That being said, the body can remember things the conscious memory can't so if it was highly unconformable or painful that could mess them up for life. However some interaction could even be enjoyable for some.

Re: Contact with infants
A baby who is caressed and touched in a simple way and who is given pleasant things, even without speaking, will show through their actions that they are enjoying what is being done to them. If it is unpleasant, they will naturally show it through gestures or sounds. Laughter and crying are signs, within what is being done to them, signs of good or bad things. So necessarily, as has already been said here, speech cannot be something that can only say yes or no, they are signs of agreement or disagreement. Sounds can also demonstrate, don't forget, the body responds to stimuli, and this response can be visible.
Live life to the full.

It would also be the case for people with very low IQ, extremely bad memory loss or weak verbal skills.Pegasus wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 11:20 am A baby who is caressed and touched in a simple way and who is given pleasant things, even without speaking, will show through their actions that they are enjoying what is being done to them. My views on corporal punishment are that I believe that it should be subject to general assault laws.
I would suggest that contact where there is no knowledge of contact or not, expressed by whichever way of communication should be treated similar. I would not regard it as sexual assault.
