Underlying colonialism is part of the same naturalistic forces that favor social conservative behavior. That is why I keep citing Jonathan Haidt's Moral Foundation's theory. Rather its a bible belt Christian family in the deep south USA or a Buddhist family in Thailand living near a monastery. Both are extremely socially conservative and have abstinence and adversion towards drunkardness, gambling, prostitution, ragefulness, wreckless conduct and are governed by strong disciplinary rules of their respected religions and have sexual moral codes.
Both the conservative bible belt Christian family and the Thai family near a holy Buddhist monestary in Thailand cite ethical codes, morales and sexual restraints that they must hold and denounce sin like behavior as a path to destruction. They are not exactly the same it seems some variation like vegitarianism being unique to Buddhism, but you see an underlying ethic for hard work, sexual faithfulness to a spouse, believe in reward and punishment, and family and community first. Despite Buddhism and Christianity being very very different moral on metaphysics and afterlife. Both cite hell realms for people who live wreckless lives, though the Buddhist obviously varies with many more inbetween realms unlike the Christian's black and white. What I'm saying is its the same Moral Foundations, the same evolved neurocircuits all humans have adapting to a different culture.
Conservative attitudes on sexuality was the winning strategy by natural selection, not something unique to white european people. Thats why all humans do it just in different ways with variables. colonialism is an example of an extreme version of that, but if history turned out different other races could have done the same brutality.

Why the NEGLECT to consider how these tendencies of INTERPRETATION OF ancient guidelines (Buddhist or Christian) COME AT A CERTAIN TIME. Namely, in the Thai case, under duress from NATO, et al (and, now, perhaps china?). On the other hand, Christianity is also under duress, in the context of being forced to prepare their constituencies for ongoing empire (it is hoped).
Family?
This state of affairs means NO MORE MEANINGFULLY EXTENDED FAMILY but only "nuclear" families; such a DEPRAVED form of "family", such "Nuclear Families"!! Compared to the one that got us thru THOUSANDS OF YEARS (if not more), right up to when empire needed families to get Nuked, so to speak. (To NOT BE ABLE to bear such strong rebellion! Just as is the horror behind the continuing suppression of MAP solutions!!)

So, my bottom line now is this seemingly arrogant interpretation (and the seemingly uncritical perpetuation) of what constitutes "naturalistic forces" when, in fact, they are born FULLY OUT OF PROPAGANDA (a.k.a. thought control/thought management/Public Relations). IN THAT context i can understand the need for this "conservative" meta game being played. Where warmind surrounds the average early (as in when we're kids) psyche until we, generally, Grow Up having internalized the so-called "normal" in all its now cynicalized glory. A sort of psychological genocide.
Then externalized (AND VENTED OUT) via the usual "parade of enemies" game. With all devoutly Normal sheeple praising the Great Alexanders, while privately muttering wishes to EVOLVE ALREADY!! !! (Picture the typical Saturday Night Bar Scene, USA befofre everyone has self-medicated out of their minds)

Granted, i can respect your need for settling with promises made towards you that you want to hear; from these interpreters you've apparently invested in to some degree (for insightful reasons, i suspect). "Natural selection" is another Orwellian phrase (tho coined before his time) that conveniently obfuscates (fogs over) the tresspasses of empire, over and over again. But settlers generally benefit from such, thus they usually refuse to even "entertain" such seriously. Especially when it comes from those they uncritically Trust for some extremely ignorant reason. (a true form of irrationality? or merely a way for mental slaves to endure??)
Of course, we find that our predicament no longer allows for our poetic to be recognized or remembered! Thus we are in a better position of BASICALLY CONCEIVING this other reality. And possibly joining with them and others crushed under its rationalizations, et al, in EVOLVING it in MUTUALLY MEANINGFUL directions!!!!
