I still wonder how long it'll take, and how many instances of this, for people to go "hm maybe these extreme automated systems are actually incredibly stupid and don't make any of our lives safer" and see that they need to go.

We were all dumb kids at one point, the accounts should be reinstated and the father should move everything off of Google or any other shitty modern-day company. Host it locally and give the finger to the governments.

Exclusive Cloud computing is very stupid. As some of my tech hero's have said the cloud is just someone else's computer and Google is a privacy invading company that has ZERO respect for the individual and just views them as ad revenue with digital locomotion to track all around the internet. Before the AI revolution put a dent in Google's search monopoly all the tech companies had came to anti competitive agreements where Google would dominate search, Meta would dominate social media and Amazon would dominate shopping and the goyim cattle (us) just live in their walled garden ecosystem.

For normies who get amusement from others' misfortune, they will take little from these cautionary tales besides novel entertainment. It will probably take something like this happening to themselves or those close to them, to begin to understand the level of control that they have allowed big tech to have over their lives. Because most people will never read the fine print of these 'free' tech service user agreements, until something like this happens to themself.
