Hatred of children is not really unique to modern "progressive" people but is a trait that is quite ubiquitous to all of society. One could turn around the political charge of why does the right love forcing children into arranged marriages, why does it restrict a young girls bodily autonomy, why do religious parents beat their kids, etc.
Children are a oppressed group within society. Hatred of them manifests in all movements.

It's disappointing that the video is only half way there. It's true that leftists have a tendency to invoke child protection arguments when it comes to pushing politics, but tends to hate children as actual people (if they view them as people at all) — however this isn't a leftist thing. They all do this.

It would be more accurate to ask, why does western society in general hate children? Then apply these same arguments.

I have read about the incident narrated at the start of the video back on the news. I am not sure it is about hating children (I am far from being anywhere on the left, but as other pointed out, hatred of children is across the political spectrum) but it is about the disgusting entitlement of so called "celebrities" who despise their fans as mere commoners.

I am glad I have never heard of that singer before reading about the incident, and really hate obnoxious celebrities in general.
