Private messages (please read carefully)

After much discussion, monitored private messages have been enabled for some users.

We have provided this access based roughly on the following criteria:

At least 50 posts
A history of positive contributions here or elsewhere
No significant history of causing trouble
A focus on MAP activism
Recent activity on the forum

Four people are able to read your private messages. They are:

Sysadmin 1
Sysadmin 2
Jim Burton
BLueRibbon

Please note that Jim and I will be actively checking for rule violations, and we will be able to see any personal information you disclose in your messages.

Board rules still apply, and those who abuse the private messaging system will have their access revoked. In serious cases, such as distribution of criminalized material (including AI / 2D), the member will be subject to permanent account suspension.

For now, only the users selected will be able to use the PM system. In some instances, it was difficult to decide whether or not to approve someone. Not being approved yet doesn't represent disapproval of the individual as a person or as a contributor; it just means that we need more time to get to know you.

We appreciate everyone who contributes to Mu's Forum, and to the MAP activist community in general.

I always find it interesting how sites like the boorus, and e6 function fine posting cub and loli 24/7 but a literal map site doesn't allow it. It's 100 percent understandable to me as we are a HATED community and any fuel to the fire just makes us that much more easy of a target....not to mention ANY AND ALL depictions of minors (just simply art) in sexual situations are illegal some places but still the irony isn't lost on me.
