What are you reading?

Post by John_Doe »

I started Temple of the Winds by Terry Goodkind yesterday (only a couple of pages, though), the fourth book in his 'Sword of Truth' series. One thing I somewhat regret is that I started Blood of the Fold (the third book, I finished that yesterday) years after I read the first and second books in the series so I've forgotten a lot, it would have been nice to read them back to back but, if that was an option, it would have been a very long commitment (I may take a break and try something else even if the series remains interesting, which I think it will). I had also hoped that I would have started it when I was still watching Legend of the Seeker online but I finished that before I started Blood of the Fold. Richard from the tv series (which I love) and Richard from the books are very different, albeit goodhearted, people (other characters are different too, so the story feels really different to me in many ways). People seem to respect the first book at least, or the first few, but the consensus online seems to be that the series is very bad. Personally, I like what I've read.

So, what are you reading?

I'm currently reading 'The Time Machine' by H.G Wells. It's helping me to cope with being in a foreign non-English speaking nation while I learn the language, I never knew how much I loved English . Prior to reading this I completed "The Dream Children" by A.N Wilson and read about 80% of "Fire and Hemlock" by Diana Wynne Jones both of which I enjoyed greatly (I'll have to see the latter through because it's such a great story, I didn't want it to end :? )
Sorry I'm not Sorry.
