This site is the #2 result for "map forum" #1 result for "minor attracted person forum".

It also has significant results for a variety of search terms related to topics.

phpBB is notorious for looking dreadful, despite being the commonest and most practical solution for what we are trying to do. So perhaps this is something that could be looked at if we had the time and resources.

For example, Virped has a clunky theme that looks between 15 and 20 years old, regardless of how old it actually is (it would not surprise me if they are still making forum themes that ugly). It even displays the phpBB logo in the top left hand corner, so the owner didn't even bother to white-label it for over a decade.

MAP Forum is a slight improvement because of demands I made when it was set up - namely on the display and position of a logo, and color theme consistency. It still looks outdated, with unnecessary partitions, sharp edges and a million variations in background color.

Ultimately, what forums are doing is not incompatible with what the younger generation want - but the dated appearance of phpBB forums drives a lot of those users away.
