Perils of Criticism

Post by VividKalar »

does anybody else find it frustrating to be unable to correct or criticize any comments made against maps? especially when it seems so clear a post or article is so far up its own ass that you'd find it impossible to actually have a constructive interaction with another person or criticize the article
the most angering thing in the information age is the inability to genuinely have a debate on MAP oriented articles when the most common replies are just sensationalist insults or commands to kill oneself (easiest way to shut an argument down), or fallacies and mythologies people genuinely believe aren't flawed such as 'guilt by association' or conflating the words pedophile with groomer or predator or gooner, or being so caught up in their ideology they will reject sources that don't align with them.

i came across the very latter looking at the anarchist library (and was surprised that even they wouldn't allow critical or positive articles on MAPs on their site in spite of anarchist history) and found an article by an anarcha-feminist with an utterly misguided view agenda against patriarchy and dismissing any specific scentific sources as "transphobic", even disgustingly going so far to add (fortunately) when talking about another anarchist's death, Hakim Bey, or to say prehistoric children were "oppressed".
We do not particularly care whether the intrinsically transphobic sexological “science” that has codified the “official” definition of the term agrees with this usage. We also do not abide by the bioessentialist false dichotomies — e.g. between “true pedophiles” and “child sexual abusers” who are not “clinically diagnosed” as “pedophiles” — of the sexological approach.
it's utterly insane to see what different worlds people end up living in, it's like analysis and truth come second to, retribution or narcissism or social gain in the other world.

That's narcissus/riotlinguist lol - an anarcha/transfeminist with an alcohol problem and truly bizarre online presence...

But most certainly an anti (particulary anti-BL) above anything at all related to feminism. Despite the pretenses of the main identity.

truly. i've been into anarchism ever since i saw a random poster for a bookstore event a year ago and i've only seen older works such as "Anarchy: A Journal of Desire" and other works i found in the anarchist place (they have a folder for books about intergenerational relationships, somehow the only one with a disclaimer written on it), i thought they'd be at least a bit open-minded but it's very hard to get in most things modern.

thinking about it, the way i got into anarchism could probably be used for some map understanding as well... though pretty risky seeing where i am.

Past sexological research utterly failing trans people does not have anything to do with MAP identity somehow being bioessentialist. Jeez, what a hot mess that was to try and read. That's like saying individual straight or lesbian trans women were supporting the transphobic Blanchard's typology by not identifying as bisexual or asexual.
