The things is....

I can have a difficult life because i am managing being a MAP and because of some other things.
At least i can have a job and some other decent things going on in my life.

If i "come out" i wont stop having MAP related difficulties but also i could lose the "good" bits of my life.
So i trade having difficulty with some good in my life to having difficulty all round.

I think I must mostly agree with Humanbeing on this thread.

Although yes, of course you should be careful and know when to say certain things and when to stay silent. But I think you guys are exagerating. It depends on the kind of job you have/are aspiring to, but the most probable thing is that the owner or the hr guy won't know about your public political life. And if they do, I don't think they're gonna care that much while you keep doing a good job. Most buisness owners don't care at all if you're a lolcow because of some niche opinion, but rather wether you bring them money.

Of course, I'm not talking about all jobs. If you work with kids or have some kind of prestigious job (lawyer, university professor, director of some company, a public personality, etc.) it may be a turning point for you and you'd be much better shutting up. But to be fair, nobody is gonna give a fuck wether the guy who moves boxes around in the supermarket is a pedophile or not.

Oh, and btw, I'm talking about the country where I live and the environment I'm familiar with. I know in the US or some other rancid country it may be a much bigger problem with all the hysteria going on.

But, come on, guys, let's be serious, if you can afford speaking up(socially and economically), do it, it'll be much better for you and for all the other maps out there. If you can't, well, tough luck, but yeah in that case I'd advise you to not ruin your life.

I think part of the issue here is that a lot of MAPs have genuine non-sexual relationships with YPs be that personal or professional. There seems to be a link between MAPness and being generally understanding around the young. And that is the sort of thing that is a bit of "light" in a difficult life of the MAP burden. So people dont want to throw it away by disclosing too much.

First of all, I didn't say come out as in "Scream you are a MAP" I'm just saying to give basic info which in most cases wouldn't end in doxxing or other relevant problems.

Second of all If you aren't willing to put any effort and sacrifice then don't hope any change to come, you all digged your own graves

I'm sure the parents already suspect I might be a MAP. I'm not doing anything sexual with their kids, so what is there to complain about? They probably appreciate having someone to entertain their boys.

You also overestimate the hatefulness of children, at least ones that haven't grown up in diseased western cultures.

Outright telling the community I'm a MAP would be absurd and embarrassing for everyone. They would be angry at me for telling them and forcing a response, not for existing. The west really has a lot to learn from the Asian concepts of face-saving and open secrets.
