It hurts my heart to hear about how he was kicked out of his master's programme in Mental Health Counselling. He could've been such an advocate, and could've done so much within the 'official' mental health system. But solely because of his orientation, he was forced to work outside of 'the system'. Screw the system.
In the absence of a clear blueprint, a good imagination is essential.
