Where does this level of dehumanization come from?

Look at the responses in this x thread.

"child predators aren't human"

"child predators aren't people"

"pedophiles aren't human"

"pedophiles aren't people"

This level of dehumanization is not normal or natural.

If you can find any of them saying something that may be legally problematic (preferably toward non-MAPs), and their real name can be deduced, let me know.

This makes me wanna kms tbh (not literally, in case admins are worried lol) But yeah, what the actual fuck? They can't even acknowledge that a non-violent, non-threatening person that has had completely consensual relationships with minors (or even those who haven't, most of the time) are worthy of human rights.

Edit: Now that I remember long ago I edited a stonetoss meme that ilustrated this pretty well:

Превозмогу все на свете,
Я буду жить, я — бессмертен,
Пока ты ждешь, любовь моя!"

Pretty much every society in human history has had some irrationally dehumanized boogie-man minority group which they use as a sacrificial outlet to unleash their sadistic impulses on. It's just the targets and the justifications which change from place to place. Jews, pedophiles, slaves, criminals, witches, immigrants, gypsies, heretics, commies, women who tempt men by showing their ankles in public, those awful evil people who live in the village next to ours and speak with a subtly different dialect, etc.

We're just in the unlucky position of being the current punching bag. It doesn't matter how "good" you are. At best if you behave and you say all the right things about being non-offending and knowing your desires are evil, you might get a shred of pity and quasi-tolerance from the more peaceful, more enlightened Antis who believe we're all just sick in the head and need to be committed to institutions or castrated or something. At worst you get self-righteous moral crusaders advocating for you to be brutally tortured to death.

Yes this is how many people treat others. If you haven't experienced so before, except for being a pedophile, that's just because you're on a favored side.

Yup. Even in countercultural communities fighting against their own group's oppression, people who simultaneously fit into a completely unrelated hated group get shit on by their community. It's the reason intersectional analysis got invented in the first place among activists.

I'm not very familiar with these concepts, but I'd love if you had any examples to give of what you mean!

The best example I ever heard came from a black trans woman, who was talking about issues with nursing homes and elder care. Basically, while many nursing homes have issues with racial prejudice, the few organizations that help black elderly folks aren't very queer friendly and can be hostile to trans people and elderly gay couples. At the same time, groups that help house gay and queer elders in communities where they can express themselves are almost entirely white and black queer folks can face racism from staff and their peers. Even though hetero black elders can face issues with housing and nursing care and racism, when they can find resources built by their community they don't have to deal with homophobia the way the queer black folks do, likewise for white trans and gay old folks. Honestly, the best way to think of the concept is someone being stuck between a rock and a hard place, while someone with only one marginalized identity might just be facing a single barrier they have to navigate around, and people at the top of the current social hierarchy can move freely.

As an alternative to the above example, in my own experience as a transgender MAP, I've found myself having to mentally rewrite and correct a lot of the resources I look to for support in my identity. So, in the transgender community, whenever I seek out peer support or talk to people about my dysphoria, I have to mask and hide minor attraction and deal with transgender teliophiles making fun of transphobes in power in a way that degrades them for being minor attracted, and I can't talk about age dysphoria at all even though I'm starting to think I might be transage, because that's seen as an anti-LGBT psyop the same way Redditors think about MAPs. Meanwhile, when I'm trying to listen to affirming content from MAP activists online to feel more comfortable in my identity, I encounter a lot of cisgender men with ignorant opinions about transgender people, especially transgender kids, due to the way tweens and teens in some countries have been allowed medical autonomy over transgender hormone therapy while being unable to consent to sexual activity and relations. I've had to pause and step away from an episode of BLTalk I was listening to because of this, and before I entered the community myself I got this sense of "oh, I'm not welcome here even though I want to learn" when reading Tom O'Carrol's blog posts about trans stuff.

On a more concrete level, if I were in a crisis, I could talk to a mental health professional about my fears related to my gender transition and future, but I would be at risk or danger if I talked about being a MAP. Meanwhile, if I instead reached out to lifeline, I could talk about minor attraction but not get the educated or professional support around gender issues I would also need to work through my problems. I've been very fortunate to be in a decent enough place emotionally to work through any issues myself and not get to that place, but there have to have been people less fortunate than me who've taken their own lives or ruined them in other ways because they couldn't get an answer from anyone that really spoke to what they were experiencing. It's not a catch-22 set up by either activist community on their own, but it's the result of the cisgender supremacy and teliophile supremacy that normies accept and take for granted. There's some wiggle room for having one thing "wrong" about you in society's eyes, but when you start getting into two, or three, or more the dehumanization you face compounds. Sometimes it's less malignant than that, and it's just like having a really rare medical condition that doesn't get as much funding for treatment and study compared to common diseases, but given how many people are at least hebephiles/ephebophiles I don't think it fully applies in our case.
