What do you consider a "normie" outside the MAP community?
As far as um concerned IMO normies are the wood chipper crowd and the crowd that posts memes like "the only cure for pedophilia" with a pill bottle of bullets, that sorta crowd. As i truly feel like in modern times most regular people want us fucking DEAD and would literally laugh out loud if we were actively being gutted by a wild animal. Not to mention most "normies" think under 17 means pedo and don't understand what hebephilia is, and treat a day under 18 like you raped an infant. That said what other "normie" behavior have you guys seen

Re: What do you consider a "normie" outside the MAP community?
You might be conflating 'normie' with 'anti'. 'Antis' are generally the violently hateful 'woodchipper' crowd. Whilst 'normie' usually just means someone who is ignorant of MAP issues. A normie could be an anti, but most normies don't obsess about MAPs all day like antis do.
But if most people got pleasure from seeing MAPs harmed, as you suggested, then there would be a bigger market demand for TV shows like Chris Hansen's 'To Catch a Predator'. But now Hansen is battling bankruptcy and there are no shows like that on prime time TV anymore. Those shows just aren't that popular anymore.
Yeah, there are antis on social media. There are also radical feminists online who view all men as 'predators'. You can find that content if you look for it, but it doesn't mean that those are 'majority viewpoints' for the public.
If you're drawing this conclusion from social media, do you think it's possible that a loud, vocal minority could be affecting your perception on how 'average' people think? Bear in mind that the major 'big tech' companies do not allow pro-MAP content. So if you spend a lot of time on social media, you're just not going to see a 'balanced' perspective, because the platforms do not allow that. Social media is not an accurate reflection of public sentiment - it's usually an amplification of the most obnoxious, extremist positions: that is part of the business model that keeps users addicted and coming back.Theendoftheline wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2026 5:17 pm [...] As i truly feel like in modern times most regular people want us fucking DEAD and would literally laugh out loud if we were actively being gutted by a wild animal. I mean, where I am I have even notice a lot of irl anti map shit too. Like straight up good old boys saying how they'd love to skin maps alive, even "woke" trans people claiming that pedos are the most evil thing ever etc....
And tbf on the chris hansen thing people prolly just got tired of seeing him "catch" mentally disabled autistic adults or 22 year olds going after a near 18yo teenager.

This is kind of unbelievable. What is the context of this? Like, while having a barbecue, the neighbours just start saying, 'I'd really like to skin some MAPs alive'?Theendoftheline wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2026 8:23 pm I mean, where I am I have even notice a lot of irl anti map shit too. Antis never got tired of Chris Hansen, they love that rubbish. But as for most normies, I'd agree. They probably got 'predator' fatigue, because they don't want to obsess 24/7 about MAPs who do minimal harm, like the antis obsess about.Theendoftheline wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2026 8:23 pm And tbf on the chris hansen thing people prolly just got tired of seeing him "catch" mentally disabled autistic adults or 22 year olds going after a near 18yo teenager.

Normies to me are people who are in the middle. They might not have the attractions, they might not like our attractions but they're not going to want to hurt us or see us get hurt.Theendoftheline wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2026 5:17 pm As far as um concerned IMO normies are the wood chipper crowd and the crowd that posts memes like "the only cure for pedophilia" with a pill bottle of bullets, that sorta crowd. That's why I don't use the term normie to refer to people who warrant our deaths or cruel treatments, but anti. Anti is against, opposed to, or in opposition of, which antis clearly are. To me, an anti and a normie are a middle to extreme ground of the same coin. Antis are drastic, insane and unable to think critically or rationally about anything that opposes their worldview whereas a normie might be willing to have discussion and have their worldviews challenged.

There is a film about Chris Hansen that will be released next week, so I'm sure that will re-ignite the hysteria among the antis. It will be interesting to see how it does in theaters.OnionPetal wrote: Wed Sep 16, 2026 6:37 pm

Interesting, I wasn't aware of a new film. The last documentary made about Hansen made him look like a real piece of rubbish, and inspired some sympathy for his TV victims. I wonder what kind of film the new one will be. Hopefully an opportunity for exposing the discriminatory exploitation of MAPs that made Hansen rich (until he squandered it all).reptanim wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2026 10:40 am There is a film about Chris Hansen that will be released next week, so I'm sure that will re-ignite the hysteria among the antis. I think that's pretty self explanatory. It's someone who's not a MAP. Even people in the LGBTQIA+++whatever, are deemed normal by societal standards now, so they're normies too!
A MAP/YAP that wishes only equal rights and representation for all people, of all ages, genders and sexual preferences. People should not be seen as illegal, simply for how they were born! Preferences girls ages 6 through 10. To me they are all beautiful!

I think the woodchipper crowd is a loud but small minority. The problem is, those who are more neutral, who see the reality, that we're not a danger to kid (and also question the weirdly narrowing age-gap), don't dare speak up. They remain quiet, because they know if they say anything everyone will turn on them out of the same fear, that they'll be seen as pro-pedo.
There is no nuance anymore, no room for discussion. It's all black and white, "to remain silent is to be complicit." Whenever the media calls attention to any issue, we're all pressured to

take a side and then loudly defend that position. Of course, that's exactly the intent--to keep us divided over a multitude of small issues, so we don't focus on the important ones.immediately

Re: What do you consider a "normie" outside the MAP community?
Indeed, as others have stated, antis are a vocal minority, and the average person won't speak against them for a variety of reasons. Fear of social ostracization, disdain for confrontation in general, or in many cases, from simply not giving it much thought. They have no reason to. It doesn't affect them. So when they repeatedly hear "pedos are evil!" They'll just say "Sure, okay." And will see no need to investigate any further than that. Many have no idea that any other possibility even exists. That's why visibility is such an important goal for us, and control of information is such an important goal for the antis.
So, those you're encountering irl are likely falling under the "not knowing any other possibility" category. Though it is a curious phenomenon that even many of those who are usually deep thinkers still cannot see the possibility. That's harder to explain why, but it's still a reality we must deal with.
