It depends on the approach but I think it is legal and moral to do so if that's what you believe.
Once in the work place many years ago I was surprised when a gay man in his 50s started to talk in the office about a news article in the press at the time about a man talking about how he's a pedophile but none-offending, and he was making jokes about how bad it was that he could even say that. He was really coming down on this pedophile just for saying he's a normal guy and not offending.
What surprised me was then another guy, a younger guy in his mid 20's then defended the article and the man, saying how pedophiles can't help being born pedophiles and he it makes sense what he is saying. He hasn't done anything wrong and he's just talking about wanting to live a normal life.
I'm not proud of my own reaction because then they asked me what I thought and I just said "we've got a deadline here, we need to focus on our work and someone's sexuality isn't my business". That closed the conversation off, but I was surprised how the gay man had no sympathy for this pedophile and the young very heterosexual engaged guy had so much sympathy.
I don't think the LGBTQ is an ally that we should rely on to show any compassion or empathy, we should focus on smart rational people. That young guy was a smart young technical person. Did age play a part as in is the younger generation more open minded to new ideas? Was it that he was highly mathematical and scientific that played a part? Was it his own background and upbringing or experiences?
Is 'glorifying/normalizing pedophilia' legal?

Keep every stone they throw at you. You've got castles to build.
