Let's start a Pedophile Party! Just do it!

(This was written three years ago, and a few things have changed since then, particularly the general political situation in the world has made other things seem important, but i think the whole thing is worth reposting here.)

No more "it's not the right time yet" or "we don't have enough ----whatever----". Let's just go ahead and do it, here's how and why.

First off, of course, what country? The Netherlands seems like the obvious choice to me, just because it has the strongest movement as far as i know, but other European countries may be relevant. One thing that matters especially is the amount of votes required for representation, any country with a low minimum, like 1% or less, would be best.

Of course, the leaders and the ones running for public office would have to be citizens of the country, but those who help it financially and otherwise does not. I'm thinking at this stage, it doesn't really matter what country it is - what matters is that we get representation somewhere in the world, and the amount of interest that will come from this.

The other important question is of course, what will the party stand for? The obvious answer is pedophile rights - lowered AOC, abolished sex offender registers, sane child pornography laws, no more illogical and unethical treatment of convicted or diagnosed pedophiles in any part of society, etc.

But if the whole thing is really just a publicity stunt, the party programme might matter less, than actually getting it going.

Keep in mind there is a LOT of "secret" pedophiles out there, probably several percent of the population, and i'm convinced that people ARE going to vote for this party, in whatever country, just to bring attention to the issue. Of course, with only a few percent in the parliament, the party would not be able to change anything, but that's not the point.

The point is attracting media interest worldwide and starting a chain reaction with similar organisations forming all over the world, and ultimately leading to a lot better situation for pedophiles, globally.

But the most important thing is - just do it, don't wait. Obviously, a lot of people will have to "sacrifice" their reputation for the cause - but i really think it might be worth it.
