Why do MAPs have to be judgy about other's AoA?

A place to talk about Minor-Attracted People, and MAP/AAM-related issues. The attraction itself, associated paraphilia/identities and AMSC/AMSR (Adult-Minor Sexual Contact and Relations).

BC has high levels of proof for uncivil behaviour, because that is part of its culture. Santi was allowed to post for years referring to another regular poster as a n***er. Other things you might not associate with immediate danger (linking two anonymous online identities) are forbidden on BC. Some of its rules are based on single historical incidents from decades ago.

You will usually find someone who equates nepiophilia with rape of infants on uncensored or less censored forums and chats - it's quite a common casual misconception. Just people saying what they think outside of a peer support context, really.

One good thing about BC is any animosity they may have towards you is baked into the cake. Mu posts get a load of angry responses, for example, but we know that BC and PCMA are the kind of places you learn what people really think, and attract those with strong opinions/drive out moderate and disinterested individuals. So we post there.

The community has its echo chambers and also has its unmoderated spaces that risk becoming free-speech echo chambers. As if by design, there is no in-between, or those places that are in-between are used for discussing less contentious topics.

Is all about people not willing to understand the different... Teleiophiles don't understand MAPs as much as MAPs don't get Nepis.

It's always about punching down to justify your own acceptance, always has been. If you're a group that is irrationally hated by wider society, it'll be too easy to look at groups perceived as slightly worse and say, "At least I'm not them, right? Haha" to try and appeal for your own acceptance.

Back when gay rights were kicking off, gay people started doing it with MAPs. Criminals in prison have a pecking order for the same reason — "Steve might have killed a kid, but at least he didn't touch him before doing it! So he's alright in my book." - Prisoner Andy (Also convicted for murder, really just trying to justify himself).

People who like teens are more likely to hate on people who like kids. People who like kids are more likely to hate on people who like toddlers. People who like toddlers are more likely to hate on people that like babies.

Well said. We all have to be careful not to punch down. I always thought punching down was the epitome of cowardice. Whatever happened to punching up?

When you kick down, you miss the people and power structures that are actually responsible for our oppression, and you end up slamming the innocent instead. As others have pointed out, such was the case with the Gay Rights movement, when many thought it was easier to attack those lowest on the pecking order (MAPs). They (wrongly) justified to themselves that MAPs were less decent than themselves. Still many decades later, you can see the results.
In the absence of a clear blueprint, a good imagination is essential.

Another example of this punching down is non-offending MAPs against those of us that have committed an offense.

“I’m a better person because I follow society’s messed up rules” should not be a flex.
I'm not saying that all scoutmasters are pedophiles. I might be saying that the best ones are.

At the end of the day, most of us here because we struggle with our attractions. It is only right we support each other when we can, this fight shouldn't ever be alone or against one another. We already deal with intense hatred from the government, society in general, and people we may have once considered friends

While I will never advocate for abuse, it is only fair that people who have made a terrible mistake, and recognize that terrible mistake, are given the chance of redemption. Especially after they have served out any jail sentence or is serving out any consequences from the offense. Fitting back into society is very difficult.

Is an offense while is considered illegal not because is wrong. Love is not abuse.

When I say offense, I usually mean something convicted in a court of law.

Never said love is abuse, there are a few young girls I know myself in real life who I love a lot! There's a deep desire to keep them protected and happy all at costs, that is. :D I just love them a lot, like very very much!

It should never be considered abuse to be attracted to/love a child, or children in general. There is no harm done and thus no abuse. :)
