There are a lot of things I'm interested in, that I don't pursue because of being a MAP. For example, teaching, politics, and public debates.
How about you guys? Are there any opportunities you've passed up?
What would you be doing if you weren't a MAP?

Basically what I'm already doing now, just without my secret second life.
Maybe I'd have a different hobby, not sure.
I wouldn't give up my current life though, despite the hate I still love myself and won't let anyone tell me otherwise. They just don't understand the beauty that we get to appreciate.

I'd be posting on P Forum: Discussion forums for People and allies.
In all seriousness, I don't think I'd be doing anything different, except for dreading life a lot less.

That's good. It's probably healthier than obsessing about things out of your reach, like I do.Aspire6 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 6:21 pm Basically what I'm already doing now, just without my secret second life.

True.I wouldn't give up my current life though, despite the hate I still love myself and won't let anyone tell me otherwise. They just don't understand the beauty that we get to appreciate.

Why does being a MAP prevent you being a teacher, Lark? If anything, I would say a lot of MAPs become teachers because they're MAPs.
In my case, I would probably do medical research or law if I were not a MAP. But those fields are not good for meeting boys, and law would more or less require me to live in my horrific 'home country'.

I'm not that worried about self-control, it's more the dishonesty I dislike. I don't want to have to lie, even by omission.BLueRibbon wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2025 2:59 am Why does being a MAP prevent you being a teacher, Lark? If anything, I would say a lot of MAPs become teachers because they're MAPs.
Law is interesting, but I can kind of get not wanting to do a job because you don't want to live in the place where you'd have to be to do it.In my case, I would probably do medical research or law if I were not a MAP. Both law and medicine are popular career choices for Teleio gays in my country.BLueRibbon wrote: Tue Feb 25, 2025 2:59 am Why does being a MAP prevent you being a teacher, Lark? If anything, I would say a lot of MAPs become teachers because they're MAPs.

I don't even qualify as MAP, but I'm here, so...

I doubt I'd have become a teacher.
I might still be Mormon. Maybe a Bishop in the church with a career in law and a big family with 6 kids.

If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That's just nonsense. Happiness is something anyone can have.

Re: What would you be doing if you weren't a MAP?
I think I would be doing the same except being in the MAP Community and I would be with a Boyfriend or a Girlfriend. Who knows? If my sexual orientation were different maybe the gender of attraction would be different too.
Re: What would you be doing if you weren't a MAP?
Things would not be much different.
