My apologies, PIM ? I have never heard that term?
Prohibited Images of Minors.
It's a recent neologism to describe child erotica in a less loaded, more neutral way. Like how MAP is a more neutral replacement for pedophile.
Ah, thank you, PorcelainLark. I will use that term in the future.

There shouldn't be anything wrong with viewing or creating beautiful AI images with no filter. There should be AI apps with no filter where such images can be created.

Anyone who believes that AI-created child porn will lead to the decriminalization is frankly out of touch with reality and needs to look at the news. First off, I don't see how the two are really interconnected? Even if fictitious pornography was becoming more acceptable—which there is no indication that that's happening—it would not change the status of real pornography. The entire point of fake porn is that it's not real and that no one is hurt in its creation. The entire point is a non-sequitur. Secondly, all the news I've ever seen on this subject strongly points to a trend of criminalization of both drawn and AI-generated content. Also, AI-generated porn has been found to use actual CSAM in its creation, which, again, doesn't bode well for its legalization.
This fantasy that the teleiophiles will suddenly become more magnanimous needs to be done away with. No one is going to help us live easier lives, and it's high time we acknowledge that. Anything we win, any victory we have, is on our own in the future. This conjecture will do us no good.
