If consent was based on memory, people with dementia would not be capable of consent either. I regard that particular issue as irrelevant.PorcelainLark wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 11:57 pmAh, I was thinking of the stuff about memory.DANAT4T wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 11:42 pm The 7th option references bathroom etiquette which is a social construct.

I support AAMs and MAPs. Personally I am a romantic GL but I support loving relationships between people from infants all the way up to the elderly.

What I meant is that I don't know if there is anything risky about an infant/toddler having an orgasm, even though they occasionally happen. I know that orgasms are normal long before puberty, but I do not know if they are unsafe before a certain (5? 2?) age, as I do not recall seeing positive/neutral experiences of orgasm that young (an alternative explanation is that they would forget).PorcelainLark wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 11:30 pm I can only base it on my experience, but I would expect the ability to have an orgasm isn't contingent on whether you've reached puberty.

I had firsthand experience with self-induced orgasms when I was 5 that were positive, repeated relatively frequently when I had the chance and felt like it, and didn't seem to cause any harm. I could have been 4 or 3 and have memories of those, I don't really remember a time when I didn't, but time gets blurry that far back and the most time-specific memory I have is of worrying about being caught at school.Learning to undeny wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 12:44 amWhat I meant is that I don't know if there is anything risky about an infant/toddler having an orgasm, even though they occasionally happen.
