public sex and public nudity. contrary to the American Governments beliefs, there is nothing inherently sexual about the human body. also, people should be able to do whatever they want in public as long as no one is being harmed and everything is consensual

Well, there's taboo and there's illegal.

It used to be taboo to be pregnant out of wedlock, someone would be treated with revulsion if that happened. Society can have taboos reflecting people's prejudices and ideas, being a map has often been a taboo without being illegal. That kind of makes sense because it's coming from citizens, it's citizens deciding they agree with this but not with that, and a society is made up of citizens. Societies change, views change, taboos change. Being gay in many places, being a Christian or Muslim in some countries, many things can be taboo in different places.

It seems strange to me that the state should step in and make personal issues legal issues. The state deciding what is a state sanctioned religion or who can have a relationship with who just seems odd. Making being gay or a map a state controlled law is weird and just a sign that the state has become too big.
