A major TV actor has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing five teenage boys, according to reports.

The Sun newspaper says that a well known soap star was held for several hours by an unnamed police force as officers visited his home over the claims.

The actor, who can not be named, has denied the offences and is currently on bail.

Officers reportedly visited the actor’s home over the alleged abuse and they were arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

Police seized computers and documents as they searched for evidence, with the unnamed star’s family being left stunned by the arrest.

He is also understood to be shocked by the historic allegations, which date back to the 1990s, when the actor featured alongside “some of Britain’s most famous names in a string of top shows,” says The Sun.

A police spokesman told the newspaper: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of historical child sex offences involving five victims.

“Officers investigating allegations relating to the 1990s detained a man.

“He was arrested on suspicion of several sexual offences relating to five men who were teenage boys at the time of the alleged offending.

“He has been conditionally bailed while enquiries continue.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of forcing sex acts on two boys, aged 10 and 17

The lawsuits are the latest in a slew of claims against the embattled rapper.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused in one of two lawsuits filed on Monday of drugging and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in a New York hotel room in 2005.

The second lawsuit accuses the jailed hip-hop mogul of similarly assaulting a 17-year-old would-be contestant on the reality TV series Making the Band in 2008.

The lawsuits filed in the state Supreme Court in New York are the latest in a wave of lawsuits in which accusers allege they were sexually assaulted by Combs at parties and meetings over the last two decades.

Combs’ lawyers denied the two new claims, which surfaced on Monday, accusing lawyer Anthony Buzbee, who also represents accusers in earlier lawsuits, of using the suits as a way to seek publicity.

“Mr Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process,” a statement emailed to the Associated Press said.

“In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”

Combs, 54, is incarcerated in a New York City jail after pleading not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges contained in an indictment unsealed the day after his September 16 arrest.

Charges include allegations he coerced and abused women and silenced victims through blackmail and violence.

The 10-year-old boy, who was not identified in the lawsuit, was an aspiring actor and rapper who had travelled with his parents from California for meetings with music industry representatives.

During what was supposed to be an audition for Combs, he was given a drug-laced soda by a Combs’ associate and sexually assaulted by the Bad Boy Records founder, the lawsuit claims.

The boy eventually lost consciousness. When he awoke, Combs threatened to badly hurt the child’s parents if he told anyone what happened, the filing said.

In a second lawsuit, a 17-year-old unidentified male said Combs forced him into sexual acts with both the rapper and a bodyguard during a three-day audition for the Making the Band TV show, which Combs produced.

According to court documents, when the aspiring contestant expressed reservations, he was eliminated from the competition.

The lawsuit also claims he was unable to return to the music industry for seven years.

Both suits were brought under New York City’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, which allows survivors to bring lawsuits even if the statute of limitations has passed.

MAGA evangelical leader behind get-out-the-vote nonprofit charged with child porn

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl ... 42048.html:
Just before the hard drive full of child sex abuse materials was discovered, Yates wrote an op-ed complaining about ‘sexually deviant’ messaging aimed at children.

The former leader of a conservative Christian voter outreach program favoring Donald Trump in the 2024 election has been arrested for possessing child sexual abuse materials.
Jason Yates, 55, the former CEO of evangelical nonprofit My Faith Votes, was charged in Minnesota with eight counts of possessing child sexual abuse materials.

According to court documents reviewed by Religion News Service, a relative of Yates' accidentally discovered a hard drive containing more than 100 sexually explicit images and videos of children under 14-years-old, as well as eight pieces of media involving children between the ages of five and 7-years-old. They gave it to another relative, who then handed the drive over to law enforcement.

Yates met with investigators on September 13, during which time he allegedly refused to give the investigators a password to access the encrypted files on the drive. He also revealed that he had a prior expunged conviction related to child sex abuse materials, Religion News Service added.
In early August, Yates stepped down from his CEO position at My Faith Votes and was replaced by Chris Sadler.
Yates was charged on Monday with eight counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.

“In early August 2024, the My Faith Votes board of directors separated Jason Yates from My Faith Votes and board member Chris Sadler assumed the position of Acting CEO,” a My Faith Votes spokesperson told RNS.
“Over the last three months Chris has been working with the dedicated My Faith Votes team to encourage millions of Christians to vote, pray and think biblically about this election in America,”

A few weeks before the hard drive was discovered, Yates published an op-ed in the Washington Times encouraging Christians to push back against "sexually deviant" messaging toward children. The "deviant" messaging he was describing involved LGBTQ issues.
“This infernal programming is being downloaded into our children, and it becomes far easier when it finds no resistance in our public square — when it is allowed to fill the void left by the absence of our faith,” Yates wrote in his op-ed.
The messaging was on par with what can be found on My Faith Votes, which blames Christians for being complacent in the face of "secular progressives."

“As a result of apathy at the voting booth and in public life, we’ve suffered devastating moral decay, declining religious freedom, immoral national debt, and the erosion of traditional family values,” the group's website reads.
According to Wired, My Faith Votes is part of a network of nonprofit groups trying to rally support for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Before stepping down from the group, Yates gave an interview explaining why he thought it was important for Christians to not only vote, but to vote in accordance with conservative Biblical beliefs. He asked Christians to sign a pledge to vote in every election.
“As a Christian, I commit to voting for candidates and policies that uphold the sanctity of life, the traditional family, religious liberty, and justice for all,” the pledge reads. “I believe that my biblical values should guide my choices at the ballot box, ensuring that our nation’s laws and leaders reflect God’s truth and righteousness.”

A Game Of Thrones Actor Was 'Immediately Canceled' Following Pedophilia Charges. Turns Out The Videos Were Fakes

https://www.cinemablend.com/game-of-thr ... deos-fakes:
Joseph Gatt was featured in the top-ranked season of Game of Thrones playing Thenn Warg, a member of the Thenn tribe known for its cannibalistic rituals. In 2022, the British actor’s career was “immediately canceled” after he was thrown pedophilia charges. About a couple of years later, it was revealed that the conversations that started the charges were fake this whole time.

On Game of Thrones, Joseph Gatt was known for playing the chilling role of Thenn Warg who could enter the minds of animals and control their actions. His character faced his demise in season 4’s ninth episode “The Watchers On the Wall” when Samwell Tarly shoots him in the head with a crossbow. Gatt was also among the number of GOT actors who joined the MCU. He got to work on a Marvel film project by playing Frost Giant Grundroth in Thor. And he also worked with DC as an Intergang Squad Leader in Black Adam.

Joseph Gatt was planning on taking part in three upcoming films he was cast in until he was “immediately canceled” after facing criminal charges a couple of years ago “for contact with a minor for a sexual offense.” According to The Daily Beast, it turns out the conversations that were considered evidence for the offense were actually fake the entire time.

The Star Trek Into Darkness actor filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles County for allegations they “publicly branded him a serial pedophile.” This lawsuit seeking $40 million was filed two months after his charges got dropped pending further investigation. Based on what Joseph Gatt filed, he reportedly interacted with a 16-year-old minor after filming a Cameo for their birthday. The “admittedly obsessed” fan allegedly contacted him on Instagram many times over the course of three months. The complaint said the exchanges were apparently “wholly appropriate and consistent with typical celebrity-fan exchanges.”

The lawsuit revealed a twist in the allegations claiming Jane Doe used software to create fake conversations between themselves and Joseph Gatt through Snapchat that were “sexual in nature and pure fantasy.” Doe’s older sister found the conversations in 2021 and reported them to the Los Angeles police. The complaint continued to say law enforcement failed to verify the evidence and “ignored the glaring red flags.” Once the charges were announced, Gatt’s representatives dropped him and was fired from his upcoming film projects.

The Dumbo actor made sure to hire a forensic private investigator who discovered Jane Doe fabricated the evidence. Twenty months later when Joseph Gatt and his forensic expert were ready to disclose their findings in open court, the Los Angeles DA voluntarily dismissed the charges. Gatt’s career, however, is still in need of recovery.

Based on the lawsuit held by Game of Thrones actor Joseph Gatt, the pedophilia charges held against him were allegedly based on fake evidence created by the alleged victim. Continue to look at CinemaBlend’s 2024 movies and 2024 TV schedule in case Gatt shows up there. You can see him in season four of Game of Thrones found on your Max subscription.

Corey Feldman reflects on “shocking” exchange with late Barbara Walters on pedophilia in Hollywood

https://tribune.com.pk/story/2465033/co ... -hollywood:
Walters had reportedly accused the former child star of “damaging an entire industry” by calling out predators.

Former child actor Corey Feldman recently opened up about a controversial encounter he had with late journalist Barbara Walters over a decade ago on The View.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feldman expressed his shock over a 2013 clip of his appearance on The View with Barbara Walters, where Feldman discussed the sexual abuse he and his friend Corey Haim faced in Hollywood.

“I'm saying that there are people that were people that did this to both me and Corey, that are still working, they're still out there, and they're some of the richest, most powerful people in this business,” he admitted, adding, “And they do not want me saying what I'm saying right now."
In response, Walters said, “”You’re damaging an entire industry.”
Reflecting on the exchange, Feldman stated, “It very much gave everybody, I think, the feeling that she was either part of it or covering up for it, which is shocking and scary.”

Despite the backlash, he never received an apology from Walters, who passed away in 2022.
Feldman has been vocal about his experiences, even creating a documentary titled “My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys.” However, the film faced numerous challenges, including hacking and streaming issues.

He sees the success of Investigation Discovery's docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV as a positive development. The series sheds light on abuse in the industry, featuring testimonies from figures like Drake Bell and is now the subject of a lawsuit filed by former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider.

Feldman believes that while his journey has been difficult, there may still be ‘hope,’ “Tides seem to be changing, and the tides seemed to be turning. And hopefully maybe one day somebody will care enough to help me get my story told properly.”

Nickelodeon hired or worked with 5 accused child molesters and pedophiles

https://nypost.com/2024/03/28/media/nic ... edophiles/:
Nickelodeon reportedly hired accused and convicted child molesters and pedophiles who worked on the set of kids shows that were produced by the Paramount-owned cable network.

Legal records obtained by DailyMail.com found that Nickelodeon employed or worked with five individuals who were ultimately convicted of sexually molesting children, as well as two others who were accused of pedophilia.

According to the report, at least one of those individuals was convicted of lewd acts with a child before he worked on the set of a kids shows that was produced by the network.

The staggering figure was previously unknown but came to light after a recent HBO documentary, titled “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids’ TV,” included testimonials from child actors who allege they were subjected to abuse on the sets of Nickelodeon shows such as “All That,” “The Amanda Show,” “Drake & Josh” and “Victorious.”

The Post reached out to Nickelodeon for comment.

The network said it has improved its safeguards, according to the Daily Mail.

In the documentary, former child star Drake Bell, now 37, alleged that when he was 15, he was sexually assaulted by Brian Peck, who worked as Nickelodeon’s dialogue coach.

Peck was arrested in 2003.

The next year, he was sentenced to 16 months in jail and ordered to register as a sex offender after pleading no contest to two child sexual abuse charges.

Peck went on to work for Disney.

In 2021, Bell, who co-starred alongside Josh Peck (no relation to Brian Peck) on “Drake & Josh,” pleaded guilty to attempted child endangerment and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Prosecutors alleged that he sent “inappropriate social media messages” to a 15-year-old and “created a risk of harm to the victim” when she attended his concert in 2017.

The HBO documentary also revealed that Jason Handy, a Nickelodeon production assistant who described himself in his personal journal as a “pedophile, full blown,” sent a photo of himself masturbating to Brandi Carlile, who at the time was the 11-year-old actress who guest-starred on “The Amanda Show.”

In 2004, Handy pleaded no contest to felony counts of lewd acts on a 9-year-old child, distributing sexually explicit material and a misdemeanor of child sexual exploitation.

He was sentenced to six years in federal prison.

After his release, he was once again charged with indecent liberties with a child and sex offender registry violations.

Handy remains incarcerated in federal prison. His release date has been set for 2038.

Marty Weiss, a 58-year-old talent manager who steered clients to Nickelodeon, was convicted of lewd acts with a 12-year-old male client.

A former client told police in 2012 that he was molested by Weiss between 30 and 40 times over a period of three years when the boy was around 11 years old.

Weiss served less than six months in jail.

Cody Longo, the star of “Hollywood Heights,” a show that aired on TeenNick in 2012, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Colorado in 2019.

Longo pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in 2021.

Last year, Longo, who struggled with alcoholism, was found dead at his Austin, Texas, home. He was 34.

Ezell Channel, 54, was hired as a production assistant at Nickelodeon in 2005 despite his 2003 conviction for lewd acts with a child under 14.

In 2005, a mother reported Channel to the police after prosecutors alleged that he lured a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old into a studio, showed them pornography and inappropriately touched them.

Channel was convicted and then released again in 2010.

He is currently homeless in Los Angeles, according to DailyMail.com.

The HBO documentary devoted two episodes to Dan Schneider, a producer of several hit kids shows on Nickelodeon.

While Schneider was not accused of any sexual misconduct, he was alleged to have fostered a culture of bullying, sexism and racism.

He has denied the claims.

The documentary included a video showing Schneider in a hot tub alongside child star Amanda Bynes.

Schneider, 58, broke his silence on Monday.

A rep for the former king of kid TV shows said: “Everything that happened on the shows Dan ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults, and approved by the network.”

“If there was an actual problem with the scenes that some people, now years later are ‘sexualizing,’ they would be taken down, but they are not, they are aired constantly all over the world today still, enjoyed by both kids and parents.”

North Miami Beach deputy city manager faces child sex abuse videos possession charges

https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/depu ... n-charges/:
MIAMI - David Eugene Scott, the deputy city manager of the City of North Miami Beach, is facing several charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse videos, Miami's Police Department said Wednesday.
Scott, 63, was arrested on 15 counts of sexual performance by a child/possession. Images of boys 2-10 were found on his cellphone, according to the arrest report.
City Manager Mario Diaz terminated Scott's employment after "after receiving and reviewing the arrest report from Miami PD," according to city spokesman Evan Ross.
"Although the city has not been asked to provide any assistance or information, we will fully cooperate with and expedite any requests made of North Miami Beach."

Scott was named to the position last year after serving as director of public works for the city.

He also served in executive roles including economic development/strategy for the City of Boynton Beach, assistant city manager for the City of Delray Beach, assistant county administrator for Pinellas County, commissioner of public works for Atlanta and deputy mayor for operations and director of Public Works for Baltimore.
"David is a visionary leader with over three decades of public sector experience and a demonstrated record of successful innovative strategy implementation and organizational process improvement, overseeing a diverse portfolio of municipal operations with 7,000 employees and $800 million budgets," the city posted on LinkedIn last year.

The Special Victims Unit, through its Internet Crimes Against Children detail, arrested Scott.
After an investigation, Miami detectives had identified Scott as a suspect who had uploaded 31 images and videos of child sexual abuse material and attempted to purchase an additional 6,000 videos and pictures of children online via various social media platforms, police said.
ICAC detectives, with the support of Homeland Security Investigations and local police departments from Miami Beach, Aventura and Miami Gardens along with the State Attorney's Office Cyber Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at his residence in Miami.

Multiple electronic devices were seized, including his cellphone. Several files containing videos were found on the phone.
Scott was detained, interviewed by detectives, arrested and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
"Our Special Victims Internet Crimes Against Children Unit conducted an investigation that has led to the arrest of an individual who happens to sit at the highest level of a local municipal government," Police Chief Manuel A. Morales said. "This is highly disappointing, especially given their role of trust and the fact that the victims are children—one of our most vulnerable populations. We are proud of our partnership with the State Attorney's Office Cybercrimes Unit in solving this case."

State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said: "I am shocked and disappointed to learn that a senior governmental official would be charged with the possession of child pornography. As state attorney, I know that our law enforcement community and my prosecutors are committed to ensuring that no child suffers the denigration, exploitation and abuse at the core of every child pornography arrest. Child pornography is always a crime centered on exploiting the innocence of our children."

Professional baseball player of LOTTE team Seo Jun-won gets probation for PIM production

https://sports.news.nate.com/view/20241011n00939:
(Export News, Reporter Kim Ji-soo): Former professional baseball player Seo Jun-won, who was indicted on charges of producing sexually exploitative material of minors, was sentenced to suspended sentence in the appeal trial.

On the 10th, the Busan High Court Criminal Division 1 (Presiding Judge Park Jun-yong) dismissed the prosecutor's appeal and upheld the original sentence of 3 years in prison and 5 years of suspended sentence for Seo Jun-won, who was indicted on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth from Sexual Abuse (producing and distributing sexually exploitative material, etc.) and the Child Welfare Act.

The court stated the reason for dismissing the prosecutor's appeal, saying, "As a public figure who receives public attention, he committed a crime without setting an example and is likely to be criticized," and "However, considering that the crime occurred on only one day, the video was not distributed, and an agreement was reached with the victim for 20 million won, the sentence in the first trial does not seem too lenient."

Seo Jun-won, born in 2000, was a top prospect who graduated from Gyeongnam High School in 2019 and joined the Lotte Giants, a professional baseball team in his hometown. He was highly evaluated for his potential and skills, receiving a signing bonus of 350 million won.

Seo Jun-won showed slow growth after his professional debut in 2019, but the team did not spare support, believing in his potential. In 2023, he was also successfully completing the team's overseas training camp and exhibition games.

However, in August 2022, Seo Jun-won was indicted on charges of receiving body photos from a minor he met through a public chatroom on a smartphone messenger, producing sexually exploitative material, and forcing him to commit obscene acts.

Seo Jun-won kept his crimes a secret until March of last year, when a KBO League exhibition game was being held, when he confessed to the team. This was also more of a case of confessing the truth right before his wrongdoings were reported in the media, rather than a confession of conscience due to his inability to overcome his guilt.

The club immediately took a strong stance. It held its own disciplinary committee and ordered Seo Jun-won to leave the team. The nature of the crime was so bad, and since he had hidden his wrongdoings from the club and was investigated by the prosecution, the player could no longer be trusted.

Seo Jun-won was later sentenced to three years in prison and five years of probation in the first trial in September of last year. The prosecution initially demanded six years in prison, but the court sentenced him to three years in prison and five years of probation. He was also ordered to perform 120 hours of community service, 40 hours of sexual violence treatment classes, and a five-year ban on employment at organizations related to children, youth, and the disabled.

In his final statement at the first trial, Seo Jun-won said, “I am ashamed and regretful of myself for trying to relieve the stress accumulated from the strict control of my life within the club and from raising my child in a crooked way,” and promised, “I am truly sorry to the victim, and if given another chance, I will work hard to live a proper life for my parents, wife, and son.”

The first trial court stated, "This is a case where a child or adolescent victim was asked to take photos of their body in exchange for money, and then the victim was threatened after receiving the photos. Considering the method of the crime and the extent of the damage, the guilt is serious." It also said, "Considering that the crime lasted only one day, that the defendant did not distribute child pornography, that the victim's mother was paid the damages and an agreement was reached with the victim, and that this was his first offense, the verdict was made."

Seo Jun-won received suspended sentences in both the first and second trials for producing child pornography, but he is facing another trial for drunk driving.

He caused controversy on May 31 when he caused an accident while driving under the influence (0.03% or higher) at an intersection in Gaekum-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan.

Seo Jun-won won the 'Choi Dong-won Award', given to the best amateur pitcher in 2018 when he was a third-year student at Gyeongnam High School, and entered professional baseball with flying colors, but he has only shown endless decline due to his failure in self-management and involvement in crime.

The 'Choi Dong-won Award Commemorative Society' stripped Seo Jun-won of the Choi Dong-won Award in March of last year.
