Detailed mention about psychology of self-harm, (action itself is not in detail), just wanted to let anybody know incase this is a sensitive topic for some people, especially this community being heavily oppressed and many being mentally unwell, nothing to be ashamed of if you'd prefer to skip the spoiler
I think it depends on the mental state of the person, being a masochist and having a history of genuine self-harm, they are very different. Masochism brings me pleasure, , the brain is really an interesting yet messed up thing
Another thing about seeing the replies have different opinions about whether the one in the role of being sadistic may be a touchy topic, I'd like to add in a big portion of the time the masochistic one is the one requesting the stuff to be done, and the one in the role of sadism is like "you sure you're okay with that?" Ofc not all the time, but many times. (My experience can also support this)
