Re: Does rape exist?

If your non-simulation related argument is about potential life, how do you feel about haploid sex cells with that same potential? How about barriers that prevent those sperm and egg cells from meeting when in the right conditions (i.e. condoms)? I think the argument you propose kicks the can backwards to the point where we're dealing with hundreds of thousands of lives in every fertile person (and some infertile ones whose gonads function). The necessary implication of your argument would be that masturbation an evil waste of life, as would being with an LG who hasn't menstruated yet. It would also mean every person born with functional ovaries is immoral for not getting pregnant as often as possible, which includes celibate women like nuns. Your argument about pain is understandable and logically internally valid even though people can disagree with it, but for a couple months the fetus has no nervous system at all to exist or feel pain.GL_in_Lyrics wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 8:06 pmArtaxerxes II wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 8:25 amThe problem with your position is that you assert abortion must be inherently bad without taking into account utilitarian reasons behind an abortion as society often overlooks pain if the outcome is deemed as being “worth it” (e.g., enduring bullying in school to get graduated and increase chances of employment). The only way you can consistently be against abortion is if you supported the notion of ensoulment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EnsoulmentGL_in_Lyrics wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 12:44 am
Yet, let's face it: Most abortions are not done because of rape or other etc complications. Most abortions are performed because *women* cannot take responsibility or accountability for their actions, and keep their legs together. Aborted babies feel pain as they are literally ripped apart.
And also, the world should NOT revolve around women. *Children* are MORE important than women! There it is, I said it!![]()
LOL, no.
I do not really believe in a soul, at all. I believe my comments stand.
I'm more or less an atheist. While I accept a soul *could* exist, that is not at all a factor in any of my beliefs. I believe that the universe is likely a simulation, so it is probable that the code or whatever dictates that these people should be born. But still, I find it silly to base my views on abortion on that, so I do not let that become a factor. The simulation theory could easily be untrue.
Rather, one of the main proponents of my view is the concept that all children who could possibly be born should be given the chance to exist. The idea of ripping an infant a part limb by limb, especially if it feels pain, is disgusting, heinous, and demented. The modern woman is a war criminal, for a variety of reasons.
Life is an amazing thing... most of us who could exist, will never exist, so we should be happy when millions of random coincidences occur to allow a certain life to exist. There are probably an infinite amount of combinations, an infinite amount of different people, that could exist. Yet the earth will likely only have seen a few billion by the time it's over.
Everyone should be given the chance to live. Those cells in a mother's womb when she is pregnant are a BABY, whether you like it or not. Ask yourself why it's illegal in many cases to destroy certain bird eggs, but yet it's legal to abort HUMAN infants?
Oh, and just for the record.... I refuse to even consider changing my views on this, as long as WOMEN are preventing me from being with an LG, and as long as WOMEN commit their other various war crimes.
