Since Dumpen was founded in 2021, the site has grown significantly. Founder, ex-high jumper, Patrik Sjöberg and publisher Sara Nilsson are still the people most strongly associated with the organisation, but its operation is much larger than just them.
The organisation employs "fishermen" across the country. The fishermen's job is to engage in chat conversations with individuals, whom Dumpen refers to as "pikes," using false identities. These individuals believe they are messaging a child in their early teens, or in some cases, a mother offering them sex with her child. In reality, Dumpen is on the other side of the chat.
The conversations are often explicitly sexual, and in some cases, a meeting is arranged. If that meeting is scheduled to take place in Norrbotten or Västerbotten, it is likely that Tina and Solveig will show up for the confrontation.
