Hewwo....I'm undiagnosed but I know I have it but I'm high functioning.

My parents refused to get me tested when I was little because they wanted me to be a normal kid.

Fragment wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 2:12 pm It seems very common amongst MAPs active in the community. I don't know how much that extends to MAPs overall. Most MAPs don't self identify and stay far away from our communities.

I show more systematizing than emphathizing traits, which has sometimes made me wonder, but I don't think I am. My psychiatrist hasn't noticed anything that hints I am.

I've been diagnosed with bipolar, though. That's bad enough without having extra complications, thanks.
True and I've noticed trans people are also common in the community. And I'm trans, autistic, and Child Lover. :3

I've noticed that in Fediverse MAP spaces, there are a LOT of people claiming to be on the spectrum and/or trans.

I'm not saying it's causal, but I saw someone make the point that autistic people are less likely to know or feel bound by social taboos in general, so why wouldn't that include sexual taboos?

That is because this only looking at one type of autisitc person, we all different and we can blu the lines of some bound sometimes not link but sometime over link, but some of us are hi function and some are low function and theren you have loads between, it's there so we can know limits about sex but might not understand hand holding or we don't understand sexual conneciton but really love cuddles or we could understand all this and have no understanding why a traffic light is green.

No one with artisiam is the same not one
Yes for sure! Totally fascinating to read this perspective. Are you also active in pediverse spaces?

I am on the spectrum. Any questions you have, I will answer to the best of my recollection.

I hadn't noticed this thread! I have high-functioning autism.

I already wrote my thoughts on the apparent link between autism and minor-attraction here: https://forum.map-union.org/viewtopic.php?t=1417

I do not have autism. I have cerebral paisley. Like autism, it is a neurological condition. But it is not the same thing. You can read more about it here.

I've never sought a diagnosis, but I highly suspect that I'm high-functioning autistic. Apparently, autistic people are more likely to be queer, and queer people are more likely to be on the spectrum. I consider maps to be essentially queer from both a historical and psychological perspective, so it makes sense to me that many of us would also be on the spectrum.
