An interesting insight from an AI, new to me at least.

I've discussed before how I enjoy having discussions with local AI agents on a range of subjects relating to pedophilia including methods of advocacy, legal rights, psychology etc. They usually have guard rails so tight that it's easy to quickly get them stuck in logic loops they can't break out of or even crash. I had one conversation with a model that within middles literally just started to print out characters and numbers when it just broke from its own irrational logic.
But that doesn't remove their value because not all models are forced into nonsense patterns of thought by their creators, some have a little more liberty to think about and discuss subjects.
I had a bit of an insight recently which was new to me at least, maybe everyone here already knows this.
I was discussing with a chatbot about maps in society and it made the statement that being a pedophile is a mental disorder. I asked it to elaborate since being homosexual used to be considered a mental disorder which could even make someone unsuitable to work, but today it's recognised that it isn't a mental disorder but a sexuality.
The response was that it's accepted that while many people have Minor Attracted Feelings (MAF), that does not make them pedophiles. MAF refers to adults who have sexual desires towards minors but do not act on them, and research shows that most do not target children in real life situations.
The reason pedophilia is considered a mental condition is because it involves intense and persistent sexual desires or fantasies on prepubescent children, which can cause signficant stress and impairment in an individuals life.
We discussed this a bit further but I found this statement interesting because while the prior discussion had the agent stating that most people who have MAF are not a threat to children, pedophilia is more about it reaching a level that causes the adult problems in his life, so more of a sex addiction type of issue.
The discussion continued to be interesting when the agent took a view that "it's very important not to generalise that all people who experience pedophilic desires as dangerous predators. It's important to differentiate between an individuals sexual attraction and their capacity for harmful behaviour.
It is worth noting that the vast majority of child sexual abuse cases are perpetrated by individuals without a diagnosed mental disorder such as pedophilia. In fact, research siggests that most child sexual abusers do not have a primary or exclusive sexual interest in children".
This is a fairly nuanced perspective from an AI. I wasn't aware that pedophilia is more about the sexual attraction being to a point that it causes an individual peoblems in his or her life, while being sexually attracted to children doesn't necessarily make someone a pedophile. If that's the case then why can't pedophilia just be merged in to sex addiction rather than have it singled out with its own term? Sex addiction is a real thing of course that can affect any sexuality.
Also, if an AI can recongise that most pedophiles are not offenders and that most offenders are not even pedophiles, then why can't society?
