Many groups and individuals involved in online pedo-hunting fail to understand one critical element: calling yourself a 'pedo-hunter' does not make you immune from legal repercussions. If you're caught illegally possessing the same material as the predators you claim to be pursuing, that title won’t shield you when you cross paths with the law.

Think about it. If you try to follow that logic, any online predator could mask their intent by posing as a 'pedo-hunter.'
"Could," as though it doesn't almost certainly happen.
In an interview with authorities, O’Connor said he regularly reported CSAM to internet service providers “but still was sexually gratified from the images and videos.”
Who would have guessed?
Proponents of AI will say that it has always been possible to create explicit images of minors using Photoshop, but AI tools make it exponentially easier for anyone to do it. A recent report found that one in six Congresswomen have been targeted by AI-generated deepfake porn. Many products have guardrails to prevent the worst uses, similar to the way that printers do not allow photocopying of currency. Implementing hurdles at least prevents some of this behavior.
I feel like some of these laws concerning deepfakes are a problem. If it isn't distributed, why does it make any difference? You aren't potentially harming someone's reputation if you don't distribute it.

I do understand how a non-map looking at CP could be physically ill, especially if subjected to looking at endless images. If I had to look at gay porn I'd be ill and be questionning my life decisions but that's just because I'm not gay, I'm not so eagotistic that I'm going to say gay people should have the same reaction as me when looking at gay porn.

Anthaney O’Connor, what a complete idiot. Why would you make target of yourself if you had material like that on your devices?
