I was recommended Murakami again the other day. I read the first couple of pages of 1Q84 a couple of years ago, it seemed like I might enjoy it, but I forgot about it. What do you guys think about Murakami?

I don't know much about Haruki Murakami, but I am wary of the asceticism in his works and the fact that he doesn't like children under the age of 16 to fall in love.
But this is just my personal opinion…
