Hi Olivia! I started participating in forums at about that age too. I never disclosed my age back then as I wanted to be taken seriously! Obviously, the context here is quite different. You're likely to be curious about MAPs and understand that many of us can be expected to feel a similar curiosity towards AAMs (myself included). Whether that strictly applies to you or not, I'd like to know the reasons for your presence here. Why did you join exactly? Did you have something in particular in mind, or did you just want to know "what MAPs are like"? (We are, in truth, a very diverse bunch.)
Don't worry about saying anything "dumb", we understand. Just read the rules and act accordingly.

Welcome Olivia!
It is good to see AAMs make themselves known.
Like Waves said, there is a curiosity that goes both ways. I was not an AAM growing up myself, I didn't accept who I was until fairly recently in life.
And again like Waves said, for both our safety and yours, make sure to read the rules and act accordingly.

I hope to see you chatting!

Hii and ty! Yeah tbh I kinda joined to know what MAPS are like, specifically outside of places like Discord where they're all just kinda lustful lol.

We're lustful too, we just don't show it here.

Being a MAP can be horribly frustrating on a sexual level, which I'm sure you can understand. The current social and legal context seems as if it were
designed to
push us towards desperate predatory behaviour.
As for what characterizes MAPs in general... Well, sadly, most if not all of the features we tend to have in common have nothing to do with our "true selves", but are instead the result of how society treats us: lower mental health, suicidal thoughts, alienation, sexual frustration, desperation... If you ignore such problems, we are just as weird as everyone else. No more, no less. We fundamentally love in the same way as non-MAPs. We are generally very protective of young people, and for those few of us capable of overcoming the sexual frustration, we tend to be very respectful.
P.S. I created
a thread with a question for AAMs.

Olivia, the more I speak with you, the more I think you're a tragic example of the harms of the current system.
Assuming you really are 13, you're a very smart young girl, and if you're able to overcome the hatred (and self-hatred) that consumes you and reach self-acceptance and acceptance of others, you could be an excellent activist. You could work to change things and perhaps spare others your current torments.
Perhaps you should look beyond the idea that there are "bad people" doing "bad things", or worse still, that
you are "bad" for inviting those "bad people" to do "bad things" to you. Perhaps you should fundamentally question the assumption that "getting rid of bad people" could be a panacea for the ills of society.
Perhaps you should radically change the way you look at both yourself and society:
more love and compassion,
less fear and hatred. The way you look at MAPs and how you relate to MAPs is ultimately just part of that.
