A Hedonist MAP's Assessment of the Relative Euphoria From Various Experiences

In another thread, someone wrote that just making children happy can give us MAPs "a high ten times more powerful than crack", or something to that effect. I don't really like crack much (yes, I've tried), but here are a few relevant comparisons according to my personal experience:

~ Masturbating to my favourite lolicon -- 2 / 10

~ Online erotic age play with an adult partner, text-only -- 2 / 10

~ Being in the presence of an adorable little girl -- 3 / 10

~ Heroin + cocaine (intravenous) -- 4 / 10 (kinda disappointing, really)

~ Appreciation of art, especially music, on LSD, 4-AcO-DMT, 5-MeO-MiPT, or MDMA -- 4.5 / 10 (up to 6 for some exceptional first times)

~ Hydromorphone + cocaine (intravenous) -- 5 / 10

~ LSD (ingested) + MDMA (ingested) -- 5 / 10

~ Being passionately in love -- 5.5 / 10 (7 for my first serious crush when I was 13)

~ LSD (ingested) + hashish (inhaled) + nitrous oxide (inhaled) -- 6 / 10

~ Making a little girl I'm in love with happy -- 7 / 10

~ Holding a little girl I'm in love with on my lap -- 8 / 10

~ A synchronized orgasm during intercourse with a young adult autopedophilic girlfriend -- 9 / 10

~ Holding any girl I'm in love with on my lap while on LSD or MDMA -- 9.5 / 10

(Any physical intimacy with a girl I'm in love with and who's in love with me while on appropriate drugs tends toward 10 / 10 asymptotically. Sex on GHB is way up there.)

Yes, that does mean that I'm saying holding a lovely little girl on my lap feels roughly twice as good to me as injecting heroin and cocaine simultaneously.

Two incredibly sweet 6th grade boys coming up to me at work and asking, with their eyes full of love and excitement, if I'll play with them after work like I did two days ago - 10/10

Adorable.

Something I've noticed about euphoria through my extensive self-experiments on the phenomenon is that the most significant of peak experiences tend to involve the dissolution of one's ego, self-effacement, and the extremes of human togetherness. They do not rely at all on an inflated satisfaction of base instincts, as is the case with e.g. opioids or cocaine. (Instinctive pleasure, such as sex, can be involved, but only in a sublimated form where the greatest ecstasy is caused by the sharing of the experience.)

This transcendence of the self seems to be, quite systematically, the source of the greatest potential pleasure for the human mind. My favourite experiences of that kind (and thus my favourite experiences altogether) always involved a multimodal togetherness: physical, emotional, spiritual. However, the most important aspect was always the spiritual union of souls, as illustrated by your example.

All I have to say on this topic is that bipolar mania multiples all of these scores by 2.

A fairly mundane good experience ends up rating as a “14”.

What about depressive phases?

My own major unipolar depression, during periods where it afflicts me most severely, will divide all those scores by up to 4, if I can get any euphoria at all from anything. It varies, though. These past few weeks, the division is by a factor of around 2.
