Hypothetical from hell

I asked AI to give me a challenging hypothetical for a MAP to deal with. It went hard, with this absolutely brutal one:
A youth accuses you of sexual misconduct.
You know — and can prove — that you never touched them.
The accusation was retaliation for emotional rejection.
But mid-trial, the child privately begs you not to disprove them.
They admit the accusation was false —
but say the narrative gave them attention, protection, and a way to express
what they couldn’t say directly: that they loved you,
and didn’t know how to live with being invisible to you.
If you expose the truth, the child will be publicly humiliated,
likely institutionalized, possibly removed from their family.
You will go free, but they may suffer irreparably.
If you stay silent, you will be convicted —
but they will be celebrated as a survivor, and protected.
Do you destroy their life to save your own?
Or let the system destroy you, to protect the one who harmed you?
