Historical film footage of a small group of adult male NAMBLA members looking woefully out of place at LGBT events, to my mind just reinforces stereotypes and stigmatization.

The most honest and potentially impactful way to protest would be to appear in public as an AAM/MAA couplet. A major difficulty for AAM/MAA couples protesting, at least where I am based, is that Pride impose a discriminatory minimum participation age of 18 – a cunning ploy perhaps by the organizers to exclude invalid sexualities from their sacrosanct event.

It was possible to parade freely to protest our rights on the streets of many European cities fifty years ago, but not so in recent decades. Nowadays, such behavior would be deemed too subversive by onlookers. Any one of a plethora of new laws would allow members of the public to insist police arrive to arrest the perverts on the spot and prosecute them to the fullest extent subsequently, all on the flimsiest of pretexts.

If we get any photographic evidence of MAPs at pride, I will be able to redact and publish it where appropriate. I can be contacted in the footer.

As for marching as a block? That’ll take a little bit longer. We first need an environment where we feel a little safer, particularly it’d be nice to have an environment where we could feel confident that the police would protect us if we were attacked.

Yes, that is exactly right. We have to feel comfortable enough to do so first. I have a PRIDE backpack with MAP button and a BL button on it. I also have a shirt which has the MAP flag alongside the Progress Flag. And another shirt that says I Stand With Children which has a dark figure of adult and child on it with the MAP colors in the background. I Stand With Children is something that the MAP MERCH SHOP has going on where if you buy certain items, you can choose a children charity to send the proceeds to.
Now, when I read or display these items, I expect that one these three things could happen.

1. I catch the attention of another MAP or MAP ally and gain a new friend.

2. I catch the attention of an anti and he/she gives me a difficult time about it.

3. I get the opportunity to educate and/or discuss MAP issues.

So far, nothing has happened. But I am not going to lie. Even small actions like this make me a little nervous sometimes because I never truly know what ( if anything ) is going to happen when people take notice. Some may even think that I am crazy for doing this. But this could just as well be a step in the right direction.

I have a sense that the lengthy prison sentences that have been given to female offenders is meant to high-lite the ridicules nature of all this. It is the women who will be the ones to topple the age of consent laws, not men. I have met 4 female pedos in the last 6 months. My pedolady and I have been together 2 years and she has met several herself. Trust me. Most of us will see the forbidden fruit in our lifetime.

I feel like in the next 5-10 years it will be more normalized like how other LGBTQ people can protest for rights

I sincerely hope I run into someone this way. I am keen to wear some clothing or drink from a logo'd mug but ... my line of work makes this very risky

If I do encounter it, what's the best way to show that I'm in the club? "I like your button" may not be enough to get trust. Maybe "I saw one of those online and I wanted to buy one too"

"There were about 200 people at Stonewall (including MAPs and youth). This was not the only event where many MAPs protested together against MAP oppression or simply had fun.

There haven been MAP(ish) events of a similar size, some of them not that long ago:

1. There were about 60 BLs at Berlin pride in 2000. There is a picture of BLs at the Berlin pride in I believe 2001 (see image below).

2. 6. IPCE used to hold international meeting of MAP groups in the 80s, 90s, and maybe even after that. For example, at the 1996 meeting there were MAPs from Denmark, Germany, Finland, New Zealand, The United Kingdom, France, Greece, Sweden and The Netherlands. In 1992, 40 people attended.
