Yeah, yeah… I know – it’s from about half a century ago. Proper ancient news, this.
Sorry for the clickbait, but I reckon a few of you will appreciate it. It’s sadly not even two minutes long, but nowadays... we don’t get this much airtime, don't we?

The English subtitles seem to be included in the video: I see them listed with the Dutch options. Unless they’re inaccurate? In any case, if interested, I took the Dutch subtitles and made an Italian translation. (Assuming the Dutch subtitles are accurate, of course.)

I get what’s beautiful about it – it gives a sense of hope, and more to the point, a kid in a genuinely happy relationship is always a good story. But what’s so bloody depressing about it? The fact that liberation once felt so close, and yet it all fell apart?

That’s the only reason I can think of.

The Dutch subtitles have been auto-generated, so as expected, there are noticeable inaccuracies – some words haven’t been recognised at all and are simply omitted. The presence of filler sounds and incomplete sentences further complicates the transcription process.

As such, the current subtitles should be considered provisional and subject to review. The English translation reflects my best attempt to interpret the dialogue, but it's far from definitive. I’ve got several gigabytes of Dutch-language material, but I’m not entirely sure how best to approach an accurate and consistent translation.

Yeah. The depressing thing about it is the date. And knowing the history after that point. And knowing how many of our brothers are in prison or dead to suicide.

It’s hard to be excited by a positive account from 1977. Where are the young people having positive sexual experiences with adults and talking about them in 2025?

Half century old stories won’t do much, if anything, to further our cause.
