Vice back in the day used to make decent documentaries however nowadays they are absolute trash.
Similar to the recent BBC documentary this Vice documentary from 2022 slanders Japan's anime and manga industry mainly focusing on lolicon and shotacon and although the documentary does present the other side of the argument from some of the people the woman interviews she and the entire documentary itself come off as very morally preachy and it is just another case of Japan bad because PrOTEct LE KIDZ.
She even breaks Japanese law by bringing a hidden camera into a manga store even after they said she cannot film.
