Both our history as a community and human history have proven that the only way to be free is by activism or funding the activists fighting for our cause.

However, the MAP community still doesn't seem to understand this, so from now on I'll repeat it until you all get it.

Theory without practice is just fantasy.

Hiding only delays the inevitable; it's impossible to stay hidden forever.

Organize and support your fellow MAPs or fund the activists fighting for freedom.

If you don't do anything effective, expect nothing more than pain and oppression

In reality, there are many hypotheses about how rights are a consequence of technological progress and that activism is simply something that emerges naturally under the right conditions, when people already tend to agree on certain issues.

But I agree that money makes the world go round and that money is needed, but... I think you have the wrong approach. In a sense, the duty to attract funds lies with the activists themselves.

What do activists in other fields do? Take Greenpeace. They seek an audience, invest in visibility, spend time attracting more and more money. It’s not the duty of environmentalists to invest in Greenpeace, but Greenpeace tries to stand out and attract attention.

But then, how useful is it? If we look at the most effective forms of activism, we find merchandising, magazines, etc... You have to sell, you have to produce. I don’t think it’s that easy when talking about MAP activism.

I don’t think the MAP community fails to understand something—it’s simply that the conditions present in other forms of activism don’t exist here. An animal rights activist can promote vegan products and create a market, generating interest in their cause. What does a MAP have?
