How we are classified in the DSM and “studied” by researchers and psychologists, how people are defending us by saying we are inherently violent rabid mentally insane people for liking cunny and should all be locked up in a mental alsylum and we were all raped as babies or something

I saw a a tiktok comment saying something along the lines of “Pdfs are mentally ill and need immediate treatment because they are constant threats and were raped as children” so many things wrong with that

1.Its not a mental illness its more akin to a sexual orientation or just a fetish, theres no way you genuinely think liking cunny and seeing shadows telling you you are jesus are in the same category

2. We are not a “constant threat” most of us are law abiding, and most adults who have AMSC arent even pedophiles, they just do it for fun and easy availability. Im a pro c non offender, yes I think children can consent, no I have never and will never break the law, not because I agree with them, I think they are abhorant and abberations preventing normal human sexuality, getting decades in locked up in prison for pixels on a screen, especially ai robots who arent even real children, is genuinely evil. Getting decades in prison or even the death sentence for giving a willing and enthusiastic minor who enjoyed the expiernece positively and agreed and was informed sexually a blowjob, but giving someone who beats or murders or tortures children either zero prison time or only a couple years because its “discipline” or “was an innocent mistake” is also fucking evil to me.

Have we ever considered that pedophiles arent mentally ill OR evil monsters, and that we are just perverts? Just like how some people are perverts for shit or perverts for having sex in public we are also just freaky sex perverts. What happened to just calling us perverts? Why does everything on earth have to be a mental illness now adays? And why is only having AMSC and or being a “pdfile” indicative of a mental illness? Is being racist or commiting a racial hate crime a mental illness? Is wanting to rob a bank and commiting theft a mental illness? How come only sex perverts like us pedophiles and necros and zoos get labelled as being mentally ill but every other crime or desire to commit a crime is just human nature? While I think the PIM laws are cruel and draconian, I genuinely dont feel bad for you if you go to prison for watching PIM or having sex with a 15-17 year old because they look and act the exact same as 18-20 year olds and are literally identical to older minors with the only difference being that we are legal. Like I can get a fellow pedophile going to jail for watching a 5 year old but an ephebophile watching a 17 year old? Really? What could POSSIBLY be so DRASTICALLY different from a 17 year old and an 18 year old that you would risk destroying your life for one but wouldnt go for the other.

Im begining to think that most ephebophiles dont even have a fetish for older teenagers and just have a fetish for breaking the law because I cannot for the life of me, with my pedo eyes, see the difference between a 15-17 year old and 18-20 year old except one is illegal and one isnt. The best way I can put it, nepiophiles like the color pink, pedos like the color green, hebephiles like turquoise, telipopholes like blue and ephebophiles like “ 𝓐𝔃𝓾𝓻𝓮“, and both teliophiles and ephebophiles alike will argue that there is some drastic difference between the color blue and “ 𝓐𝔃𝓾𝓻𝓮” and im just sitting here liking pink and green going “huh?”

Medicine is, unfortunately, an arm that can be weaponized against so-called 'enemies' of contemporary society. If you don't fit in, you must be ill. Back when being simply gay was socially reprehensible, psychologists called them mentally ill too. What a coincidence that they found evidence against it just as being gay was becoming more socially acceptable.

It serves a few purposes:
1. People generally trust medicine— so having experts on your side justifying your hatred or disgust of something makes you more confident when you're up against it.

2. It takes the need to think away from the average person. You don't need to prove it's wrong because you can vaguely point to the DSM-5 and point out that it's in there, so you must be in the right when you claim it's wrong.

3. Legitimate research that would favor of MAPs can be discredited before the results are even shown ("if research is claiming something that's a mental illness isn't bad, it must be wrong"). It also gives ally researchers an uphill battle, forcing them to fight the system they work within to make progress. End result is, generally, it's not worth the effort or risk regarding their careers.

4. Finally — that I can think of — it helps sway moderates or fence-sitters. People that are too kind to hate us outright can be swooned over by the rhetoric that a mental health diagnosis provides. Half of those against us think we're irredeemable monsters for just existing; the other half think we're victims of our brain chemistry, and need help. Both are against our liberation all the same, but slapping a mental illness plaster on us helps bulk up the numbers against it.

Much how paraphilia is a step-up from “sexually deviant”-> “sexual perversion”. For gods sake, we’re not mentally ill though. The only reason ppl say we’re ill is a rationalization of their disgust. Or rather, they’re sickness at us is projected into us being called “mentally sick”.
