Now I know my neighbors ARE snooping on my internet traffic! I have a very specific and niche fetish that I look up time to time. Just yesterday, I heard “That’s the guy who likes __” and then multiple people commenting on my fetish. And today as well. I remember searching for the fetish topic in June, and then heard the neighbors exclaiming about it almost immediately. Now the rumor has spread. All because I’m a pedophile I don’t deserve privacy for some reason.

I recommend three things for your situation:

1. Protect your online privacy, encrypt hard drives if necessary and avoid searching for sensitive information without a VPN or Tor.

2. Tell them to fuck off, You have the same rights as them to live there and search for whatever you want online. Don't let them make you feel inferior.

3. Arm yourself, especially if you're in a country that allows the purchase and possession of guns. Buy a handgun or other weapon that you can always carry with you and if any of those nasty stalkers step on your property (even your yard) blow their fucking heads off.
