MAPs and collapse awareness

Hello there,
As you may be aware, there are many people who think we are currently in the process of some kind of global collapse. Geopolitical tensions, insecurity, post-truth, increase of the gap between rich and poor, radicalisation of the masses, overall shamelessness from political leaders, climate change reaching new records every years... etc Some people even think we are on the brink of WW3 and there are whole communities of preppers out there.
I've been wondering what do you think about this as MAP activists and is it something you factor in or not? Clearly MAPs are at the bottom of the societal barrel and we have a long, long way to go before we can love freely. MAP activism is a VERY long term endeavour. Part of me can't help but think we would have a better shot as seeing change within our lifetime if there was indeed some kind of collapse.
