They claim to care about victims of sexual crime yet treat the act of being a victim of a sexual crime as basically soul murder that ruins you forever that you can never recover from. They think that sex involving a woman and a man is inherently evil and dangerous. They think sex in general is inherently evil and dangerous. And of course, the female will always be the victim. If two drunk people have sex, one a woman and one a man, for the sole reason of the consent not being legally valid, the woman is a victim, the man a rapist, even if the sex was in fact consensual. They see women as inherently inferior to men and therefore default victims.

Or if a teenage girl consents to sex with an older man, the teenage girl is a victim and the older man is a rapist, not because there was any actual violence, force, or coercion involved, but for the sole reason that it is not legally vid and they view teenage girls as inherently infeiror to older men. Personally I'd prefer if they had more sympathy for cisgender men, rather than less sympathy towards women and transmen. It feels like society has lost it's capacity for empathy. Still, the idea that pedophilia derives from trauma is a myth that needs to be dispelled.

I browse TwoXChromosomes, a popular feminist subreddit. I agree that there are sex-negative tendencies, such as kink-shaming, anti-porn that I frequently see on there. While choking during sex is definitely dangerous, resorting to stigmatizing/shaming is never good. “Sexualization” is a term thrown around to really mean overemphasis on women having to be attractive.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of “enthusiastic consent” but it basically says sexual contact without really being into it is comparable to sexual assault.

I agree there’s a lot of policing of not just illegal but legal age gaps, where a 10 year age gap between a 19 year old woman and a 30 yo man is deemed suspect and exploitative.

The “man vs bear” trend which emphasizes the dangerousness of random men, is an absurd simplification and comes close to demonizing men.
Combined with the common thinking that pedophilia is a male thing leads to the unintended “pedestaling”/angelification of women as morally superior. Kink as being male-dominated, or least a way for men to get away with abuse is also a prevalent opinion.

I guess the trans men exclusion from men in general comes down to seeing you as socialized female, then transitioning, so you’re almost a sister in their eyes.

I think a lot of this type of sexuality policing and kink shaming also shows up in the younger generations like Gen Z. I’ve experienced it when I had a boy friend almost 20 years older when I was 29 and people acted like something was wrong even though he was so gentle and thoughtful.

There's lots of reasons to not support feminism. I agree with all the above points.
I would also add that feminism has never been about true equality. A YouTube comment I read summed it up pretty well, so I'll just quote that.

First wave demanded the vote, but never cared to address conscription; in fact, a large number of white-feather distributors were feminists, not only were they too entitled to ever face the responsibilities men had to for the same rights, but they actively chased and shamed men who refused to do so too. Second wave demanded access to jobs and quotas, but of course, only in glamorous positions; to this day there's never been a single feminist campaign asking for more women in degrading and dangerous jobs like farming, mining, oil rigging, trash disposal or sewage cleaning (And many more, all of which are populated almost exclusively by men), it's all about CEO and other top positions; speaks tons of their hypocrisy, they want "equality", but only as long as it lands them in a beneficial position, otherwise the whole field can be 100% male and apparently there isn't an "issue"; and if a certain organization happens to not fulfill the quota on time then they get fined or even dissolved without any form of investigation, so in some places simply because women fail to show interest in something (Which has been demonstrated to happen due to sexual dimorphism) hundreds or even thousands of people, both men and women, can end up unemployed in a whim.


Third wave is basically trying to blame everything and anything from big problems to petty annoyances on men, the male gender or masculinity in general; from the actions of mere INDIVIDUALS (Every other day some disturbed psycho gets labelled as "proof" of male/straight/white toxicity or some other bullshit like that, which is pretty damn ironic coming from the "progressive" crowd that claims that things like gender or race are unimportant social constructs and that they despise the idea of profiling others based on their race, sexuality or gender) to things men have little to no control like their bodily functions/proportions or the shit actions of others (Often women).


Feminism was never about equality, it's always been about exploiting the damsel act and liberal shame to get rights above those of men without ever having to acknowledge even the most basic of the corresponding obligations.

I once read a persuasive critique of feminism that condemned its increasingly paranoid turn within academic circles, attributing this shift to gender studies and related fields. From there, intersectional feminism.

The critique also argued that early feminism had its own flaws, though that side was perhaps less amplified—leaving today’s radical feminism as, ironically, the least estremist. In my experience, radical feminism prioritizes tangible gender equality over abstract theoretical debates. I've never encountered radical feminists claiming that wars are exclusively male-caused or insisting that every issue must be traced back to patriarchy to be solved. From what I've seen, radical feminists focus squarely on securing women's voting rights - a clear position, without wanting to be paternalistic or moralistic.

I don't know how true it is, but this could justify why they are so fixated on media, talking about culture, etc... They come from an academic background and instead of handling psychology and other subjects with tweezers, they use them to interpret and problematize society.

As a trans woman, this is really just ridiculous. Even the slightest look at an author like Julia Serano would dispell these concerns. This is really the only kind of discussion you can have if you want to completely ignore the issues faced by women, and in particular, only focus on the sex-negative branches of feminism which expressly are pushed against by sex workers, transfeminist women, etc. Any transfeminist will tell you that there is a portion of feminists who are extremely negative towards sex and, in large part, demonize 'male anatomy' as a battering ram against trans women.
