Collective Shout would on the face of things, appear to be a legitimate charity - a crusading force for women and girls, fighting unfair "pornified" stereotyping and sexual objectification. Their campaigns have sought to target hucksters of what they consider to be unmentionable brain-rot - platforms and online stores that sell access to independently developed games.
Their rationale is time-honoured. This cottage industry in gaming content is after all, "harmful to minors".

I have quite an extremist stance: Stereotypes of any kind, and sexual objectification, are not negative things. An author should have the right to include whatever they like in their own work, and the only thing they should take into account is profit. Nothing more, nothing less.
I would have considered Collective Shout a harmful organization even if it had genuinely been “for the greater good.” After all, as is well known, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
But that said... are there actually any MAP video games? I’m not talking about shota/loli stuff, I mean products that deal with relationships between adults and minors in a Western context.

I'm guessing there are AI semi and photorealistic roleplay games in which adult characters can play with minor characters described as adults in the documentation.
In fact that's widely known, of course I can't recommend any such game, check the laws wherever you are.
A major failing of anti-porn activists, is they never consider that if porn really is harmful, porn + intervention, or porn + mental illness might be even more harmful than just having the porn without restrictions.

Interesting read. NGOs like Collective Shout are professional panic shops. They sell panic to donors, bully platforms, and call it “protecting kids” with ZERO measurable outcomes. It’s just nasty censorship and the damage is being done to artists, gamers, and everyone’s privacy. Morality police like in Iran

A new wave of initiatives with "bipartisan" support is targeting "degenerate" (to the right) and "harmful" (to liberals) online content with ever tightening age-verification and surveillance technology.
This is the standout quote. And an idea that would benefit from further development. The modern left is barely more enlightened than the modern right; they just use different language.
