Throwaway bc my family is on Reddit.

I (15f) have been dating my girlfriend for about 8 months. I thought she was 16 but I just found out that she’s actually almost 19. How I found out? We were at McDonalds and she went to the bathroom, leaving her wallet with me. I decided to snoop into her wallet and saw her drivers license and it wrote 2006.. she literally told me she was a 2009. I feel really disgusted right now as she has also started telling me that wanted to take my v-card and stuff like that.. I don’t even know how I’m gonna break up with her and that’s what I need help with. I feel scared as she knows my address, my school address and even my work address so I’m really scared that she’s just gonna show up if I try breaking up with her over text.

(Sorry for the bad English, it’s not my first language.)

Edit: I’m Canadian. The legal drinking age is 18 where I’m from.
The comments below have everyone saying she’s a victim because of the age gap and how disgusting her gf is.

She is indeed a victim, but of hysteria.

This girl is either trolling or needs a psychologist. You can’t react with pure terror just because the person she was with, and enjoyed being with, turned out to be three years older. I can understand she might not have liked the lie, but this reaction is insane.

In fact, given this age difference, she should feel even safer, since the law is on her side and she could easily blackmail her girlfriend without any problem.

The only thing she is a victim of is her partner lying to her about her age. Being that her partner is less than 5 years older than her she can per Canadian law consent to have sex with her.

I'm afraid I'm making the "anti-trans" argument here, so to disclaim, I am not using it in a trans context.

But this is the issue altogether with stoking people's hysteria, some would say mental illness, especially over social media when it involves validation echo chambers.

See also the story about the girl who had an ongoing mental breakdown because a creepy (turned out to be) RSO guy followed her in a supermarket and looked at her wrong.
