Their relationship is riddled with pedoromantic tension, even though its not canon, its heavily coded/implied. People will say that their relationship is strictly platonic and Cedric sees her as a daughter, and I suppose you can see it that way since their relationship isnt strictly defined(and disney isnt going to outright say that their character is a pedophile). But a single older man who meets a little girl and has such a close relationship with her that he sees her as his best, closest, and only friend, loves and cares for her deeply, and even sacrifices himself for her?? Bro. Like ig you could see them as a platonicfather and daughter duo, but you dont get the right to bully people who see them as lovers. Like he is super into that little girl and Sofia is super into him. And the father/daughter thing doesnt make much sense when sofia LITERALLY ALREADY HAS A DAD.

To them, pedophile = irredeemable monster, the very worst thing a human being can be. So they can't reconcile liking a character to any extent with them being a pedophile. They shouldn't like or feel any empathy towards a pedophile so if they do, that means the character isn't really a pedophile. It's literally denial.

Another excuse I often see is calling it a "parental figure" relationship whenever there is a close chemestry between a child and adult character. It may not be explicit or intentional, but I think Jinx and Isha had a beautiful romance going on in Arcane, similar to what you mentionned between Cedric and Sofia.

This one may hold some truth to it. Positive depictions could reduce the stygma or at least lead some people to rethink their hatred of MAPs. I'll admit, even I didn't question the narrative until I stumbled upon a MAP podcast which was the first time I trully allowed myself to start thinking on the topic.

That episode was so fucking disturbing. The boy comes to the police station out of genuine concern that he might be a dangerous person(i dont think he is, having crushes isnt dangerous). The entire staff harrass him non stop, falsely accuse him of committing a crime, out him to his entire family and harrass the little brother non stop for signs of “sexual abuse”. He later has AMSC, but it is unknown if the contact was actually violent or not, or if it even happened or if he is just lying so that people will take him seriously. At the end of the episode the step father anally rapes him with a baseball bat, which by the way, is 34 inches in length and two inches in height. The average human torso is only 38 inches! Jesus fucking christ, that poor kid, that alone would have not only killed him, but would have been literal torture, destroying all his internal organs and ripping his body apart. Im not a huge fan of this movie however, because

1.The main villian is another pedo. The older pedo is a massive slut who leads on teenage boys by pretending to care about them, sucks and fucks them, then ghosts them without warning. To be honest, he wasnt that bad, he was an shallow asshole, and too pushy when it came to sex, but I would not write him off as an evil irredeemable monster who needs to be raped and beaten to death by vigillantes. Shallow slutty whores who just want sex exist in the Map community and shallow slutty whores exist in the telio community, shallow whore MAPs dont deserve extra special punishment just because they are MAPs. It also makes no sense that he was arrested in the first place, since the age of consent is 14 in germany, and once again, the main character is 15. Yes he was kind of pushy when it came to butt sex, but I dont know if “being kind of pushy” is enough to make a rape case. Its even more confusing because the second teenage boy, also over 14, didnt even file a case and didnt want him arrested, at least not initially, his parents did. Which makes it even more confusing, because once again, all the boys where of legal age and the older MAP isnt portrayed as a violent rapist, just a shallow, pushy, manwhore.

2.We don't really get to see the relationship between the mc and the boy he has a crush on. He tells the older map that he has a crush on the younger boy, interacts with the younger boy for like two minutes 2 times during the movie, and the second half of the movie is less “my life as a teenage pedophile” and more like “lets send this old bastard to prison”. Its two completely seperate plotlines that dont clearly mesh into each other. You almost forget that the teenage boy is a pedo in the first place because it is like, barely brought up again after the first half of the movie. Its used as a plot device, sure, but the movie doesnt really SHOW you that he is a pedo, it just tells you that he is. There was no romantic or sexual tension between the young boy and the teenage boy, and they barely even interact, hell, the mc barely even brings him up, which is strange, because you would expect there to be THICK romantic and sexual tension between a little boy lover and the little boy he is into, even if it was one sided, it would be obvious, but the movie doesnt really show you how he is a pedo, it just tells him. There are some raunchy text messages he makes at the very wnd of the movie about he thinks the boy is hot, but this plotline gets immediately dropped and doesnt go anywhere. With the ending, I am happy that he got a good ending, even though it isnt realistic. His family still loves him and his friends still care about him and the police dont try to arrest him on bs charges. Which isnt realistic, in real life, he would be kicked out, brutally assualted by “heroic child savers” or straight up murdered. I also dont like how he pretty much abandons the slutty map like he is nothing. Yes he was a douchebag in the end, but their relationship wasnt black and white, good or bad, in the short time that they where together, even though the slutty map was just leading him on, they were very close. I understand that the boy feels abandoned at a time of need, and he should be, but I was hoping to get a scene where he visits him in prison and the two talk it out and the slutty map apologizes for being a dick and they make up and maybe even become friends again. Pedo together strong. So the ending was unsatisfying.

Headburst is much better. It is a film about a boy lover and the complicated love triangle between him, his girlfriend, and his girlfriends son. It is THICK with romantic and sexual tension between the three characters. The main character is kind of stupid and a little creepy(he takes non consenual photos of boys when they arent looking??! And on top of that, he leaves them scattered around his apartment where anyone can find?!?). But he is still likable and the story is good, even though it has kind of a sad ending. And unlike “no dogs allowed”, they dont tell you he is a pedo, they SHOW you he is a pedo. He jorks his penits to photos of elementary school boys, who oogles cute little boys on the bus and tries to talk to them. He gets hot and bothered in the locker room shower when there are boys there. And he is actually shown INTERACTING WITH HIS CRUSH unlike in “no dogs allowed”. Him and the boy honestly have a very sweet relationship and he is very paternal to him and the boy LOVES him, but sadly, things happen that I wont spoil

3.The main message of “no dogs allowed” is that family members and cops are trustworthy if you are a minor pedo, and that older pedos are dangerous. But it is the compkete opposite in real life. As refreshing as it is to see a pedo finally get a decent ending, it still rubs me the wrong way

The concept of preteen and teenage pedos must drive antis fucking insane, because they have to choose between “protecting” and “saving” children and torturing and killing pedos. But most antis choose the latter, convienetly forgetting that pedo children are still children and should be “protected” as well. Despite literally raping a child to death, Im guessing sthe step father will get off with a slap on the wrist and praised as a hero and savior of children for “killing a degenerate pedo”. He feels absolutely no shame in proudly telling the police that a he gave justice(brutally raped to death) a disgusting evil pedophile(a teenage boy, not only a teenage boy, but his own son). I bet there are antis in that universe celebrating the step father as a hero for raping a child to death in order to save children from getting “raped”.

Ill give them one thing, its extremely realistic. Pedos, even child pedos, get brutally raped or beaten to death all the time by “the good guys”. There are plenty of cases of do gooder vigillantes, who care so much about killing pedos and protecting children, that they rape, beat, torture, and kill children that have sex with younger children. Because they care so much about the youth of course! I read a news article about an 18 year old getting beaten to death in jail by heroic child savers for having sex with a, sorry “child sexually abusing” his almost 17 year old girlfriend.. Another news story ive heard is about a 15 year old getting shot and killed by his own father for ALLEGEDLY having a sexual relationship with his significantly younger sister. Because murdering children in cold blood for being pedophiles protects children or something. Or the 10 year old girl who got permantly put on the sex offender regristry and sent to juvie for fooling around with a 6 year old. As disturbing as this episode is, I am glad for it, because it shows minor pedos that COPS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS. Hell, even healthcare professionals arent your friends. Ive heard family members disown their pedo family, or directly particpate in the brutal assualt or straight up murder of their pedo family. So its honestly a good episode for that alone. The only thing I have a problem with is the older pedo being portrayed as a villian as well. But irl, older pedos are probably the safest adults a minor pedo can be around. Anti adults want to rape and beat you to death. Pedo adults just want to suck your dick and give you life advice. Its pretty obvious who the safest option for preteen and teenage pedos to stick with is. Thats also why im not a fan of the German movie “no dogs allowed”. They are very brave for portraying a pedo as a regular person, not a violent animal. The main character is a 15 year old biy with a crush on an 8 year old. Im not a huge fan of this movie however, because

1.The main villian is another pedo. The older pedo is a massive slut who leads on teenage boys by pretending to care about them, sucks and fucks them, then ghosts them without warning. To be honest, he wasnt that bad, he was an shallow asshole, and too pushy when it came to sex, but I would not write him off as an evil irredeemable monster who needs to be raped and beaten to death by vigillantes. Shallow slutty whores who just want sex exist in the Map community and shallow slutty whores exist in the telio community, shallow whore MAPs dont deserve extra special punishment just because they are MAPs. It also makes no sense that he was arrested in the first place, since the age of consent is 14 in germany, and once again, the main character is 15. Yes he was kind of pushy when it came to butt sex, but I dont know if “being kind of pushy” is enough to make a rape case. Its even more confusing because the second teenage boy, also over 14, didnt even file a case and didnt want him arrested, at least not initially, his parents did. Which makes it even more confusing, because once again, all the boys where of legal age and the older MAP isnt portrayed as a violent rapist, just a shallow, pushy, manwhore.

2.We don't really get to see the relationship between the mc and the boy he has a crush on. He tells the older map that he has a crush on the younger boy, interacts with the younger boy for like two minutes 2 times during the movie, and the second half of the movie is less “my life as a teenage pedophile” and more like “lets send this old bastard to prison”. Its two completely seperate plotlines that dont clearly mesh into each other. You almost forget that the teenage boy is a pedo in the first place because it is like, barely brought up again after the first half of the movie. Its used as a plot device, sure, but the movie doesnt really SHOW you that he is a pedo, it just tells you that he is. There was no romantic or sexual tension between the young boy and the teenage boy, and they barely even interact, hell, the mc barely even brings him up, which is strange, because you would expect there to be THICK romantic and sexual tension between a little boy lover and the little boy he is into, even if it was one sided, it would be obvious, but the movie doesnt really show you how he is a pedo, it just tells him. There are some raunchy text messages he makes at the very wnd of the movie about he thinks the boy is hot, but this plotline gets immediately dropped and doesnt go anywhere. With the ending, I am happy that he got a good ending, even though it isnt realistic. His family still loves him and his friends still care about him and the police dont try to arrest him on bs charges. Which isnt realistic, in real life, he would be kicked out, brutally assualted by “heroic child savers” or straight up murdered. I also dont like how he pretty much abandons the slutty map like he is nothing. Yes he was a douchebag in the end, but their relationship wasnt black and white, good or bad, in the short time that they where together, even though the slutty map was just leading him on, they were very close. I understand that the boy feels abandoned at a time of need, and he should be, but I was hoping to get a scene where he visits him in prison and the two talk it out and the slutty map apologizes for being a dick and they make up and maybe even become friends again. Pedo together strong. So the ending was unsatisfying.

Headburst is much better. It is a film about a boy lover and the complicated love triangle between him, his girlfriend, and his girlfriends son. It is THICK with romantic and sexual tension between the three characters. The main character is kind of stupid and a little creepy(he takes non consenual photos of boys when they arent looking??! And on top of that, he leaves them scattered around his apartment where anyone can find?!?). But he is still likable and the story is good, even though it has kind of a sad ending. And unlike “no dogs allowed”, they dont tell you he is a pedo, they SHOW you he is a pedo. He jorks his penits to photos of elementary school boys, who oogles cute little boys on the bus and tries to talk to them. He gets hot and bothered in the locker room shower when there are boys there. And he is actually shown INTERACTING WITH HIS CRUSH unlike in “no dogs allowed”. Him and the boy honestly have a very sweet relationship and he is very paternal to him and the boy LOVES him, but sadly, things happen that I wont spoil

3.The main message of “no dogs allowed” is that family members and cops are trustworthy if you are a minor pedo, and that older pedos are dangerous. But it is the compkete opposite in real life. As refreshing as it is to see a pedo finally get a decent ending, it still rubs me the wrong way

The concept of preteen and teenage pedos must drive antis fucking insane, because they have to choose between “protecting” and “saving” children and torturing and killing pedos. But most antis choose the latter, convienetly forgetting that pedo children are still children and should be “protected” as well. The amount of minor maps who get locked up, put on the regristry, raped, beaten, tortured, or killed just goes to show you that antis care more about making pedos suffer than protecting children
