A former “American Idol” contestant, remembered for being kissed by Katy Perry during his audition, pleaded guilty to possessing child sex abuse material. [...]
Police say they began investigating Glaze when a mental health counselor told them he confessed to a child pornography addiction.
Investigators reportedly recovered a smartphone with more than seven hundred images and videos of child sexual abuse material.
A judge sentenced Glaze to 25 years — 15 years in prison and 10 years suspended. Glaze must also register as a sex offender.

"Why don't pedophiles just get help?"

I fucking hate hearing shit like this.
They go straight to "they're a monster" when they're trying to seek help and get away from it. Nope best option is to throw them in federal prison and on the sex offender registry for trying to seek help. That'll show those dirty pedophiles. Then people have the audacity to say "they can't be cured, ask any therapist or law enforcement agent".
Worried a therapist will misinterpret me and think I've somehow harmed a child and report me and then my life is ruined as they have a legal obligation to investigate me and then ransack my place of all electronics to make sure I haven't "hurt" anyone. An investigation that would likely result in me being fired from my job for the accusation as they wouldn't want to have a potential pedophile employed under their name. Then my name in the news and then good luck ever living a normal life again because of someone thinking you're a threat.

Interesting how this guy's life behind bars has been turned into a kind of soap opera, because he is somehow relatable due to his celebrity.
TMZ are even talking about the Abel screening and plethysmography tests he will have to undergo:

Gillette Man Who Admitted To Child Sex Crimes While Applying For Job As Jailer Gets 24 Years
https://cowboystatedaily.com/2025/09/29 ... -24-years/
A Gillette 19-year-old was sentenced Monday to up to 24 years in prison for molesting three young girls. He confessed to the sexual abuse during a polygraph test when applying for a job at the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
[...]
Castano said he does not believe the contention from their parents that the victims, none older than 14, are experiencing no immediate, traumatic impacts at the present time.
“We know that there are, and there will be going forward,” he said. “And we know that it’s a circumstance and it’s an act — a series of acts — that have to be condemned, loudly and clearly.”

Writing this one down.
Also,
“On one hand, I have a 19-year-old young man with a clean record,” he said. “On the other, I have offenses that go to the fundamental fabric of our society. They tear at it.”
The "fabric of society". Getting real tired of hearing that phrase.

According to a press release, Mishler admitted in a counseling session during a church conference in Nebraska about his addiction to child porn and being sexually aroused by his adoptive daughters.
After his confession, one church member contacted the local CPS branch. Officials investigated Mishler's home and work where they found more than 500 images and videos of child sex abuse material on his personal and work computers.
