Today, the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City announced that defendant Daniel Truslow was sentenced to 20 years for violating his probation by failing to register as a sex offender, not completing sex offender treatment, and not taking prescribed medications. Chief of the Special Victims Unit, ASA Jennifer McAllister, prosecuted this case.
“Our commitment to delivering justice does not end after the verdict is read. My prosecutors are committed to protecting victims and the public by ensuring offenders meet significant consequences for violating their probation,” said State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates. “This repeat sex offender was absolutely a risk to public safety when he failed to follow the requirements of his probation. He is now facing a 20-year sentence, which gives him time to reflect on his decision to disregard the court’s order. I applaud Chief McAllister for maintaining justice for the victims of this defendant.”
